My fiance has been strange acting ever since our daughter was born. He is purely so worried about being a good dad. He keep talking about what if something happens to us or the tot. He is always on edge and angry or frustrated. What can I do? I was treated for anxiety after I have the baby back in May but he insist he is fine and that this can not crop up to him.
So has my hubby, he get really worried all the time that he isn't doing good, or won't be a good father. He's cried a few times over it. I construe as things go on he'll get better, it's just have a new baby around makes men accomplishment different.
Yes. My husband had alike feelings. He wasn't confident that he would be a good provider and father. He also had problems when the little one would cry when he held her, but not me. I breastfed, so that gave me a "head start" on our relationship...unfortunately, the dad's enjoy to earn the trust and love of their little one. He really has a hard time dealing with this...and adjectives I can really do is reassure him that it is normal and tell him he is doing a wonderful job as a father and husband. Encouragement seem to be the only medicine.

it can. its mainly the moms they worry about but it does evolve to dads as well. my caseworker gave me all these pamphlet from wic and one was about post partum depression and she did say that men can acquire it to.
