Answers: From your first question, you said he wasn't doing well with napping. When my daughter doesn't acquire her nap, she doesn't sleep well at night, any, ironically. I don't know exactly what effect a nap has on a sleep routine, but you might do more to encourage napping and see if that help with the night time issue. My daughter will nap within the car, but if we go someplace else other than home, forget it. We frequently programme activities and plans around her nap because of this - since she's impossible if she hasn't had it, and doesn't come across to sleep as well during the night, either.
Other than that, if you've tried adjectives the classic remedies, the only advice I can offer is that it will not later forever. My daughter slept through the night from the day she came home from the hospital. Around 9 months, the bliss completed, and we felt like we had a newborn surrounded by the house! Some nights she was up every hour. It passed quickly once the teeth broke through, but we haven't even hit molars on the other hand. At the age of 17 months she still only has 6 teeth. We have a looooong channel to go. Best of luck!
