Am I crazy, or what.?
Oh forgot to mention, he is 13 months as of yesterday.
I have to say... I agree with your mother. He slept for a really long time. Most babies entail structure and schedules for both sleep and food. If he woke up at 7:00 I would have gotten him out of his crib to have his bottle and breakfast. Let him play for a bit and next take a morning nap a little after that in the morning.
Most parents have different views on child rearing... we are from different generation. They didn't agree with their parents either.
I influence, let him sleep. He may be growing or getting ready to learn something unusual. Did he sleep well yesterday? Maybe he's catching up on some missed sleep. I'm assuming this isn't a daily thing, so sooner or later isn't going to matter.
Yes, kids need structure but they also need a break sometimes. There are some days I'm up in advance than Noah(7 AM) and others where I cannot drag myself out of bed. It happens to EVERYONE.
Anyway, I don't think near is much my parents and I view differently when it comes to raising children/my son. Most of how I raise my son is base on my mother's influence.
Answers: LOL, I know when my kids are sleeping it would be pretty hard to make them stay awake. If he wasn't tired, he wouldn't be sleeping.
My parents disagree on a lot-My mom thinks my kids should look spotless all the time-Nice clothes, clean shoes, combed hair and a verbs face. I have 2 toddlers, and honestly, if we're not going anywhere I see no need to create them look perfect. I think they're adorable no matter what :)
