How much expressed breast milk should a 3 mnth outmoded drink?
Hi, my 3 mnth old son is starting day care on friday and im expressing my milk for him. the problem is is that his other been breast fed so iv never known how much he is drinking. i be just wondering on average how much should he be drinking at each feed so i know how much to transport him with. i dont want the childcare to have to resort to formula. its alright if u answer in oz or ml as my bottles say aloud both. im getting 3 oz out of each breast each time i express and he always finishes a breast and is chirpy but im not sure how much is right.
Answers: try 4-5 oz. my daughter was drinking 4-6 oz at 3-5 months and I didn't know because I was breastfeeding too. try more in the start because they'll tell you how much he drinks and you'd rather have too much milk than not adequate. If he doesn't drink all of it consistently lower the oz down. good luck!
