How do you dress your kid?

I like dresses and sets from places like Gymboree, Carters, and TCP. Of course I would never pay full price so lone sales and secondhand. I buy sets mostly for my son who is 19 months and rompers. Some of my friends dress their children the same and others only buy separates. Like my sister-in-law individual buys dresses for the holidays or pictures. All my nieces other outfits are either one piece jumpers or separates. For shirts she will buy anything but for bottoms only shorts and jeans no skorts or skirts. How do you mostly dress your babe-in-arms? I think my SIL dresses her daughter like this cause explicitly how she dresses the colors are usually neutral (we had a yardsale and she took a bunch of my sons stuff). My other SIL dresses her daughter in mostly dresses and skirts mostly pink surrounded by color or bright. That is also the type of clothing I like.
We live in Texas so right immediately I dress her in onesies and rompers. Lots of color! I love color! Only on special occasions will I put her in a dress... I know it can't be too comfy surrounded by the heat and humidity and then to have to sit within her infant seat in a dress... not fun. When winter comes pants and a onesie or the footed sleepers. She have nice clothes but I only put those on her when we go out... :)
i love rompers and dresses, since its summer its what my baby wear all the time. i like baby split and the childrens place, i also like the dresses from child of mine carters, i get a lot of clothes from england since my husband is english stores approaching asda which is the english verison of WALMART the line is geroge
I love carter's clothing! there is a Carter's store 5 minutes from where i live. i other get emails on their sales, so i go frequently. i also approaching JC penney, sears, target, and walmart. Target and Walmart are really hit or miss with cute clothing though.

my son wears jeans, shirts, outfit sets, shorts. an essential "boy" clothing.

if i have a girl next she will definitely be contained by dresses and all the cute girly clothing. girls have so many more option than boys! there are always racks and racks of adorable girl clothes, and hardly anything for child boys.
I'm not a big fan of dresses on my daughter. I do mix-n-match separates of the same column and, of course, I buy second-hand. My favorite brands right now are BabyGap, Gymboree, and some Carters. I buy outfit lots on ebay and flog her old outfits in lots, so it is essentially a trade-off :) It makes it more affordable and clears out her ancient stuff!
i like dresses for my girls and the elder styles too - classic looks (embroidered and smocked) she wears onesie for bed etc to keep her warm and dresses near tights and jumper/cardi if we go out. I don't dress them in shorts or pants. I approaching little shoettes too (like prewalkers). Girls are fun to dress - i just like them to look neat and pretty minus being over done and "fussy" looking.
my husband dresses my 8month dated daughter all her life. i usually get little voice, but he likes seperates (jeans and pink pants) or rumpers (that are colorful but not to girly). all our clothing comes from gymboree and baby place. A few carters but i dont resembling carters, they are kind of poor quality and design.
How Bruno dresses his.
I love carters shirts/shorts/skirts.
I have dresses for my daughter, no particular brand. I hold several from Toys R Us and Walmart.
She wears shorts, pants, skirts/skorts. I normally don't buy sets, but do own a few sets, I usually just buy separates. Lots of girly colors.
My daughter just turned 2.
I dress my 6mth old daughter like how I would dress (minus all the cutesy wutsey ruffles, cartoon, pink, and ruffles). I love her in jeans, cardigans and dresses. I get all her onesies/comfy clothes from Carters and Target. Luv Luv Baby Gap and Janie and Jack! Their clothes looks more ripened but still so adorable because its itsy bitsy size. And very good quality.
Charlotte is a preppy cool style. lol.

No, since it is summer she wears closely of onesies or cute rompers. She looks cute in anything! We have a lot of hand-me downs from a friend, and other clothes from the babe shower still, and I get great deals on the sale rack at the Children's Place, and Old Navy.
We live in a really really hot tropical climate, so when my son was a newborn he lived within short sleeved onesies or just a nappy and singlet.
Now he is 14months, I like to dress him in board shorts, thongs, crocs, and surf brand t-shirts and singlets similar to Rusty and Billabong. they cost a little bit more, but they are of really good quality, and I approaching my son to look like he's not just wearing the same generic vest from K-Mart every other kid is wearing.
I also like him to wear skulls and crossbones, pirates, black clothes etc,
I resembling to mix it up with my daughter, depending on weather especially now since its the end of July and almost not hitting 80* here in Pennsylvania lol. Sometimes I'll put her in those dress looking things that its like a onesie but a skirt surrounded by the front, somedays its a cute onesie and skirt or shorts, sometimes a nice summer dress. I NEVER take her out in a sleeper or "ugly" clothes though lol. Most of her clothes are Children's Place (clearance or stuff my stepsister bought since she works there) or Wal-Mart, which I've noticed they started getting some really cute newborn stuff since my son was born 6 yrs ago lol. Answers:    For the day to day around the house or running errands, I across the world buy packs of Carter's onesies and then just enjoy my son wear denim shorts over top the onesie.

For going to parties or visiting friend's houses I have some really funny illustrative baby t-shirts from tshirthell.com or spencers gifts store, so I dress him in the t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts beside socks. Shoes if I happen to have a pair that meeting the outfit.

Overall I prefer my son to wear bold colors: dark blues, reds, greens, black. I absolutely hate him surrounded by pastels and generally only put him within them for holidays when visiting family who like pastel.
I also strongly prefer separates to one-piece outfits such as jumpers and rompers.
I do own a couple plain style jumpers which he wears to sleep, but thats the single time he wears them.

For special occassions (holidays and visiting family) when a t-shirt and denim shorts isn't appropriate, I have "nicer" pastel knit onesies and kaki pant for him to wear.
He does own a couple collared, polo onesies but I can't put them on him since they just look ridiculous...some babies look great in collared shirts but my son is not one of them.

If I had a daughter, I notably doubt I would ever dress her in pink, flowers, or skirts/dresses.
My main reason for this is because I never enjoy wearing those things as a child and I really doubt I'd enjoy seeing her dressed like that (the same way I don't savour seeing my son is pastel or collared shirts).
Once my daughter gets old enough to ask for those types of clothes, afterwards she can have them. But if she never asks then I don't plan on pushing her into it.
