When do u start brushing and what did you use.

Thanks ladies
I started massaging/brushing my daughters teeth soon after it came through the gum. I use Gerbers Grins&Giggles baby tooth stick. I bought it at walmart for less than $7.00 and it came with a short time rubber thing that you slip on your finger that you use for cleaning the baby's teeth. My daughter loves it! If you do choose to buy this product make sure you look at the ages on the packages they have a couple different ones for babies of different ages! Source(s): Been here, doing that!
We began giving our son a toothbrush with a little babe-in-arms gum cleanser on it before he got teeth. We made it part of his hip bath routine... we'd give him the toothbrush while we cleaned his ears! He thought he was getting a treat, when really it was a distraction! It's be part of our bathtime routine ever since, and he loves it! He's now 14 months and we sit together and brush our teeth together and he thinks he's doing the greatest article in the world! So, start your little one on a gum cleanser with a baby brush to bring back him used to the idea. :-)
You brush as soon as the first tooth starts to show. That is the advice I was given when I had my children, hope thats advantageous.
I've been cleaning my son's mouth now since he was newborn. First I used a verbs wet cloth and just did his gums. When he got his first tooth, I be given a baby tooth brush from our nurse and started using that with just wet, until I was given the ok to start with a very small smear of infant tooth cement, which I think was at 7 months.
My now 14 month outmoded son hates having his teeth brushed so it is much more like a chore...but when he be younger he enjoyed it.
I just use a wet washcloth to clean it and pat my son's gums (he's almost 6 months old and has got 2 teeth contained by the bottom front). I have some infant toothpaste that I have yet to try.

You can start at about 6 months or so, sorry for the U.S. link, but it will be similar. (Or you can buy it from in attendance, I'm sure they ship overseas.)
Answers:    When the tooth comes completely through they have a toothpaste made by orajel. I use it and they have two different ones theres one with a finger brush which is easiest beside babies so they think your just massaging their gums! Then they hold one with a kiddie brush for toddlers! Use this toothpaste untill your child is about 3 or 4 when they are able to spit on their own! Do not use regular toothpaste it have too much flouride! Good Luck!
I would wipe my babys first teeth near a wash cloth usually at bath time, and then when he have a few more teeth you would start to brush them, but don't use toothpaste until he's roughly 18 mths - 2 years.
my son started growing his teeth in at four months. as soon as i noticed i go and got the baby orajel tooth and gum cleanser. it's flouride free and frankly he loves it. i've never had a problem brushing his teeth beside it, and it helps numb the pain. he now have ten teeth and he still lets me brush his teeth no problem.
u should start massaging his gums right away and when he cuts teeth get a rubber baby finger toothbrush.
