at four months they should be capable of sit up on their own.some start crawling, they should smile and babble a lot.
sleeping through the night vary widely. but they usually start around 4mths...not all babies though
and first tooth?? that depends too some do as early as 6mths but usually not til later
First of adjectives, babies vary greatly and you shouldn't hold a child too closely to a specific standard. That being said, Generally, at 4 months a baby can roll at most minuscule from stomach to back. They could possibly be sitting up on their own but I think that is unusual at this age. I know for mine they be almost 7 months old. Like I said, the realm of "normal" is HUGE! At 6 months they should be able to start newborn foods. They may be scooting or crawling. Many babies get their first tooth between 4 to 8 months of age. Some have gotten them before and some brand name it to their 1st b-day with no teeth. A baby should automatically grip an object you place within their hand by reflex but should make the conscious effort to clutch something by around 3 months. Once again this varies. Also, some babies sleep through the night at the beginning and some similar to my younger son don't until they are 10 months old. Remember that it is considered sleeping through the night if they sleep 7 hrs consecutively. Don't get too mired on the "norm". Always take your baby to the recommended check-ups and they will be able to explain to you if your baby is not within a healthy length.
Answers: 4 months - start batting and gripping at toys
often competent to sit supported, or at least have pretty good nouns control when held sitting
some babies can roll at least one way
6 months - be able to sit unsupported
most babies can roll at smallest one way, some are rolling all over the place
start to babble more (things resembling baba), and often blow raspberries
some babies may be scooting around a little. It is very impulsive to be crawling at this age (more normally around 8 months)
have better hand coordination, I don`t know able to pass things from hand to foot
start to develop object permanance (ie, enjoy a game of peekaboo)

the age a babe-in-arms sleeps through the night varies widely. Most babies need a darkness feeding until 8-10 months. HOwever, some babies sleep through the night as early as a few months mature. It def. could be almost any time.
The average time for a first tooth is around 6 months. That is in face when my dd got her first two teeth. Anywhere between 4-8 months is pretty adjectives.
babies start to bat things around 3 months and by 4 months can usually grip easy objects like car key if you give them to the baby. By 4 1/2-5 months, they will be grabbing and picking them up on their own.
4 months they usually start rolling over and can sit assisted, they are cooing and starting to take for objects and grip them.
6 months babies are starting to sit unassisted, maybe starting to get up on all 4 and crawling a bit.
Sleeping through the night varies a lot soul to person. My daughter is 5 months and has only slept through the hours of darkness once. I think by 1 yr most kids have it down. My son had it at 6 weeks.
The first tooth usually shows at 6 months.
At 4 months they can usually:
sit up if you put them in a sitting position
coo
reach for things
roll at least one channel
At 6 months they can usually:
start to crawl
sit themselves up by themselves
can say "mama" or "dada"
Sleeping through the night can be anytime. Some babies start when they are a month old, some won't until they are over a year
The first tooth can usually be anywhere between 4-9 months
They can usually grip things between 4 and 5 months I come up with.
Every baby is different though and the milestone charts should just be thrown out the window. Babies will cram at their own pace and reach the milestones when they are ready too, whether it be "early" or "late"
