The resurrection of separation anxiety?
My 18 month old never had any major separation anxiety. Sure, in that were times when she'd rather be with me than anywhere else, but it be more to do with a fussy day (maybe teething etc), than a period of separation anxiety.
Now at 18 months it have hit HARD.
I just tried to take her for a play in the patio and all she would do is sit in my lap. I couldn't even step next to her holding her hand, I hand to bend right down and own my arm right around her for her to walk anywhere. Just 2 weeks ago, she was running around in the patio like crazy!
I vaguely remember hearing than 17-18 months is a adjectives time for separation anxiety to return as the child learns even further that they are a separate entity. Has anyone heard this/have any links/experienced it themselves?

Answers: Wow, you poor lady! Between the hubby with Postnatal depression symptoms and your daughter with separation anxiety...you must be have a heck of a time.
My daughter is almost 14 months old, so not quite as old as yours. But, she have been very attached to me, to the point where I can from time to time leave her since she was 6 or 7 months old. Anytime I do hold to leave her, there is a good 20 minute screaming rant.
After trying to encounter it and remedy it, I came to embrace it. Her bond to me is SO strong, she does not want me out of her sight. Kind of cute, right? Just remember, like anything...this is a phase, and I guess, try to soak up it. Good luck!

I don`t know you a\should how her something that she is inereste in or go with someone else
and if nought works and you are going crazy just leave her and dont let her sit on your knees or drag you along or anything like that
i kknow it sounds a little harsh but you obligation to stop her from beng like that or maybe shell be like headdress forever!
even if she cries just dont leave her with someone else sleepin the other room something resembling that but if you start finish or it will be a lost cause!
eventually shell have to stop and do other things if she doesnt than she wont discover the world
