Is it dutiful for your infant to device bigger than average during the first ultrasound?
During my first ultrasound, my doctor told us that our baby is measuring 4 days bigger than average. Does this mean our newborn is really healthy...because I've been taking prenatal vitamins (even before getting pregnant) and taking flawless care of myself. Do I have anything to worry just about?
I don't understand. If this was your first ultrasound after that is when they determine how old the baby is by doing a width test. So, how did the baby measure big, if this is the first height?
You don't have anything to worry roughly speaking. Congrats on expecting a little one.
That's normal. The ultrasound measurements are just an estimation, and isn't other accurate. For instance, they told my friend Jen that her baby was estimated at 6.5 pounds, and a day after that, when she gave birth, Kai was close to 9 pounds!
Babies measuring ahead usually connote they are developing well...which is a good thing. However, sizeable babies can mean a more difficult time for the mom during the birth process...which is a bad thing.
bigger and fatter babies doesn't mingy healthier. it could just mean you're for a moment further along, or it could be a medical condition. something your doctor would know more about
4 days isn't a lot, I wouldn't worry more or less it. It's just an estimate like someone else said. I measured 7 days smaller at my first ultrasound. Turns out I ovulate later than most so using the everyday LMP date isn't a good estimate for me.
ours was 2 weeks ahead at 9 weeks, shes still advanced but presently shes just small. but other than her size she was advance ahead
its always good to measure bigger , also measure bigger has lot of factors involved, like genes etc, u and ur partner might own well built structure etc and eating good is also one of them...
Answers: actually its prety typical for baby to measure any a few days ahead or behind. all babies are born with diffrent bulk and hight mesuaremnts, so its only natural for them to be diffrent sizes at the same approxamated stage. but you taking prenatles is a totally good thing for you and baby. also toddler dosent start putting on real weight till close to the third trimester, the first trimester is all just about developing organs, the second is about length and tunning new and devloping body part, and senses, and third is more or less putting on the baby fat, and finishing up some fine tuning to motor skills. also what you eat can build baby bigger or smaller. if you eat a healthy balenced diet, and are average solidity yourself then its normal to have an averged sized toddler (this is between 6 to 7 lbs) if you eat things with more fat, or hurriedly foods, greasy and are a bit more then average then its normal to enjoy a baby around 8 to even 10 lbs. same gose for smaller ladies. I also measure bigger after my wife spreads some jelly on my belly
It's not necessarily pious or bad. Four days isn't much and your baby's growth can change dramatically during your pregnancy. Also, your due date is just an estimate so you could be a few days ahead of where on earth they think you are. Nothing to worry about any way.
It's just an estimate. I was 18 weeks and the doc told me my uterus was measure at 19 weeks.
