How much does your little one devour within a teatime?
I made a grilled cheese sandwich for our 13 month old while ago (my first attempt ever at making one of those things) and he ate the WHOLE thing plus had his up of milk...is it commonplace for little ones this age to be able to eat a whole sandwich (2 pieces of bread near 2 slices of cheese) plus an 8 ounce cup of milk??

They are growing! They tend to go through lots of little growth spurts where on earth they eat an alarming amount of food! I wouldn't worry about it.
I've never made my daughter a sandwich, she's give or take a few 14 months old, but I don't doubt she'd eat it all if I did put together one. My daughter eats 2 veggies, a fruit, a cereal, 4 or 5 9oz bottles of milk, and 2 4.5oz bottles of juice.
Answers: My 1 year old eats more than my 5yr old and 8year dated. Yes its normal, its hard to believe they can eat that much though.
