My mother say my kid is spoiled?
She was nice enough to come down and watch Charlotte for a couple hours while I go to a meeting. It was from 6-8. Her bed time is at 8pm. When I came home, my mom be holding her and she was crying, but when I took her and gave her the nightly boob just formerly bed she fell asleep so quickly.
My mother will be watching her one night a week when I am in academy from 6-9. I am worried she will get frustrated in the first couple of weeks! How do I make it easier on my mom? I own expressed milk in the bottle. Should we just start practicing now?
i individually think ur baby is not spoiled. ur baby only just has a usual routine with you at night for her to plunge asleep. thats not being spoiled at all. i dont think ur mom will be frustrated i stingy shes the grandma of ur baby. i mean all grandparents do. i guess u and ur mom should simply work on a routine for the baby. bottle feed.
It's nice that your mother is willing to help you, good for her to support you every process she can.
I don't think introducing a bottle is going to change anything. It's not food she wants, it's the comfort of your breast that she's looking for. Your smell, your skin, your zest. It's a safety thing and a comfort thing.
Just explain to your mom what's going on so she expects it subsequent time. Nurse baby before you leave and your mom can only just have fun with her. If she gets hungry while you're gone she can hold table foods and water until you get back.
last time i checked it was good to spoil your babe-in-arms untill it reaches a certain age
your baby is still immature so keep on spoilin'!
You may want to try practicing w/ the bottle, that could possibly help. I doubt it's her "nightly boob" that she be upset about though. I'm sure she just missed her mommy & her routine. Poor thing. She'll take used to it though. Does your Mom live close? Could she practice w/ her?
You might want to slowly start changing the bedtime routine. Instead of breastfeeding try to bottle nurture her to sleep instead. Have a real set routine, change diapers, start music, put on night clothes, rock and nurture bottle. This will trigger the, ok it is bed time. This will probably help your mom out some in getting her down at her regular bedtime. Have your mom over to practice a time or two perhaps as all right. If your mom can get her to sleep before you get home it will be one smaller quantity thing for you to worry about after human being in class for 3 hours! shes just used to her routine
Answers: As a childcare provider, I can get the drift how your mother may feel. Sometimes, when I have new babies that hold a certain schedule but the schedule hasn't be explained to me properly, i have no clue what to do when they are fussy. Babies can not be spoiled until after 6months! Between the 6-7month range they begin manipulation cries where on earth they cry to see what they can get from the caretaker. This is where spoiling comes in. From what you own said it honestly seems like a issue of your mom not understand your baby's routine and not spoiling. However, since this will be an on going situation, you should start offering a bottle once on a daily basis (perferably when your mom will be giving her the bottle) to get her used to a new routine. I know it can be frustrating! Good Luck! Source(s): childcare experiance
