I'm planning on surprising my FIL and his wife; what would you recommend?
My FIL and his wife are due to have a babby girl towards the end of August. He has 4 grown boys, so this is exciting for them (and us!). My husband just now told me that they are planning on borrowing a car seat from a friend (I guess they are low on money). So I have arranged that I am going to buy them one to surprise them.
Now I noticed the price difference isn't that much between a car seat and the travel system, so which would you recommend me getting? They do enjoy a stroller on their registry, but it is one of those jogging ones and looks somewhat bulky. Any suggestions would be really helpful!
I would get the travel system. I have a jogging stroller that the sports car seat fits into but it is bigger and bulkier when going shopping and trying to squeeze through tight aisles. I like having both the jog stroller and the regular stroller. I have a Graco Snugride car seat/stroller.

That is greatly sweet of you. I would get the car seat and a converter for the stroller that they want so they can clip the form in it. Look for a infant seat that is compatible beside the brand of stroller. Voila!

I would get the travel system because the saloon seat will fit into it. It probably won't fit in the other one and with a tot, it so much easier and nicer to just attach the car seat to the stroller instead of taking the tot out of the car seat and into the stroller, especially if they're sleeping.
