Abnormally fussy kid, any concept on what to do?
My six month old seems extremely fussy today. She is fussy even when I hold her, which is not normal for her. She is a upright temperature, is dressed appropriately, is fed, has a verbs diaper, is well hydrated.. She is eating normally, have normal bowel movements, but hasn't slept well the last few days. Her nap are about 30 minutes - they normally are 2-3 hrs. She doesn't have a runny antenna, and isn't coughing or sneezing, and doesn't have a fever. She isn't interested in playing, singing, rocking..
I own a really nasty head cold, and have be feeling really rotten for the past three days. I haven't had a confusion, but I've had painful headaches, sinuses, a really runny trunk, watery eyes, sore throat, coughing, sneezing.. Because I'm breastfeeding, the only thing I could bring was tylenol once when it was REALLY bad, and it made me surface a lot better.
Would you give her baby tylenol and assume that she have the same thing? Or would you do anything else?
I don't like drugging her, and she doesn't enjoy any obvious signs of this head cold, but if she is feeling the means of access I did, I'd want to give her tylenol!
If only they could talk!!
Thanks for your abet!!
it sounds close to she might be teething, babies can get very irritable and wake up when they would as a rule sleep through
I'd go with teething too -- if she's not exhibiting any symptoms of your head cold, I wouldn't assume she's get that. have you started any new foods or anything like that too?
Answers: She may be teething or getting your cold but it sounds like to me she is just plain tired. It doesn't take much to win them off their sleep patterns and if she hasn't been napping similar to she used to, I would say she's tired and may be fighting something off. Maybe tonight earlier you put her down for bed give her a Little tylenol, just in overnight case.
I wouldn't give her meds, unless she has a fever. Do you nurse? If you are sick, you should hold on to nursing. Just make sure you keep her comforted and comfortable, if she were going to get hold of sick from you, I'm sure she's already been exposed. Make sure you take proper precausions like foot washing after using the bathroom and blowing your nose, and sneezing into your sleeve and all that. I woudn't use tylenol unless she have a fever.
I know what you mean by you wish they could only talk! I say that all the time!
