Can u give somebody a lift ibuprofen whilst breast feed?
My friend has a sprained wrist and has been told to pinch ibuprofen (400mg) by her drs but she is still breast feeding and has been told by both the pharmacist and the staff at the hospital not to rob it whilst breast feeding- whos right?
Weird. When I have my daughter I was told to take paracetamol and Ibruprofen.
The doctor is right. I was given ibuprofen contained by the hospital 600 mg after i had my daughter and was breastfeeding. Or course taking nothing is the safest but tylenol, ibuprofren are the safest things to give somebody a lift for pain. Just tell her not to take it in the past 6 hours between doses to be safest and safest to to take the dose right after she fed the baby so consequently by the next feeding some the meds wore off.
To recover from childbirth afterpains I be told to take paracetemol and ibuprofen together, breastfeeding a newborn so yes you can :-)
Her dr is correct. She can take it for sure. I did with my son and had no problems. It is annoying when medical professionals adjectives have different opinions as it is totally confusing and you don't really know what to do..
And they are supposed to be "professionals"!! lol
It is fine to take ibuprofen while breastfeeding. they gave this to me right after i gave birth for throbbing.
Really? I was prescribed 600mg ibuprofen after giving birth to both of my daughters. I never heard that you shouldn't bring it while breastfeeding.
Answers: It's fine, and so is tylenol. Actually MOST (not all, but most) medicines are fine while breastfeeding because even if some medicine does overrun to the milk, it's very little. Her dr. is right.
