2 month ancient and hours of darkness time routine?
My daughter is 2 months old. I have started a routine at night beside her of bottle around 7:30 or 8:00, then play til 8:30, then bath, later bed. For the past 2 night she has slept from 9:00 until 7:00 am!! I be so amazed. Usually she goes to bed around 10:30 or 11:00 and gets up at 5 or 6 am. I couldn't believe she slept that long. So, do you think she is a moment ago going through a growth spurt or if the bath at night actually help her sleep longer? She takes about 5 ounces now every 4 hours. She weigh almost 12 pounds. Oh and she only take one long nap during the afternoon...the rest are just cat naps.
Also, did your 2 month old drool constantly? Rylee drools adjectives the time, she even has a red rash on her chin from drooling so much. She does have a white spot on her bottom gums...so I am not sure it is a tooth or not.
Anyway, purely wanted to share the wonderful news that I have gotten at least possible 8 hours of sleep the past couple of nights, and I couldn't be happier!! :)
Thanks!
well im jealous my son didnt sleep through the night till he be almost 5 months but thats ok prays the lord now right! Keep up with your routine and your feeding seem to be workign perfectly and yes all babies drool like crazy thats outstandingly natural wait till she starts biting everything Source(s): proud mommy of a 6 mth old monster!
My daughter started sleeping capably after a bath time routine too. When she was around 6 weeks old, I started bathing her at nine, feed her right after and she would sleep from about 10:30/11:00 to 6:30/7:00. Now at 19 weeks old, I sometimes have to rouse her up at 10:30 because she still sleeping... I love it.
Congratulations to you! Keep up the awesome mothering!
Answers: How awesome for you and hubby! My kids never slept for longer than 6 hours at a stretch until they were 6 months out-of-date. My family doctor says babies usually start sleeping through the night when they accomplish 12 lbs, not mine! But it's great that yours does! I am hoping #3 will be different, he already has a headstart on weight, he's get to be getting up over 10 lbs now! We'll see. The routine is great, baths are very relaxing, keep it up and it's credible she will continue this pattern!
Both of my girls did drool a lot when they be teething and they also got that chapped chin because of it. My doctor told me to use the Grins & Giggles lotion stick on it at bedtime and that always seemed to help out clear it up!
I am glad you are getting some sleep! I cannot wait to get a full 8 hours in!!
