Now that you are a parent?
do any movies get to you emotionally? For me, my husband was watching the Ben Affleck movie "Pearl Harbor" the other night and it's a love story which I'm a sucker for anyway, but within the end when the woman has her baby and the baby's father died contained by the war, ugh I lost it lol I was bawling on the sofa and my husband just looked at me confused.
How almost you? Any movies get to you now that you're a parent?
I just went to see Orphan next to her daddy and we were both sickened. These horrible things happen to the children in that movie, and it be deeply disturbing. It was not a movie made for people who enjoy children! Also, I can't watch the news hardly, because of adjectives the horrible stories about babies. Gosh, being a momma is hard work, emotionally.
not presently that I am a parent
(I feel the same about most movies...songs hold more mening for me immediately though, as a parent, that cats in the cradle song makes me cry everytime..or that country song I love you this much, thats a tear jerker)
however, ever since I married a solider, I go from feeling indifferent about war movies to emotionally torn
I try not to show my husband my tears though, he doesn't involve to worry
I just cant understand men and own stopped trying to.
oh gosh, it doesn't enjoy to be movies! I get all teary over anything to do with kids very soon - even commercials! It's terrible. I'm crying over the huggies ad's lol
Movies that really get me now too are the ones where on earth something bad happens to the kids too. I used to think, oh, that's so hopeless...now I ball my eyes out. I think its the reality that you now relate to what a mother or father would be going through.
Answers: I LOVE that movie! Such a tearjerker all around. The scene where on earth Rafe brings little Danny up in the biplane was so sweet.
Others that make me crestfallen now... probably all of those Lifetime movies, like "Unwed Father" and others.
Anything that has to do with babies within a movie, t.v. shows anything i cry lol. I think it's because your a mother now and cant imagine time with out your child.
I never used to cry at anything sappy (excluding Old Yeller or Benji -- I love animals). I don't know what hormone got thrown out of whack after I gave birth, but it doesn't clutch much talent as a writer to get me misty eyed.
Commercials will start the waterworks, even.
