Do any of you women out here really approaching to budge to little one showers or marriage showers?
Have been considering throwing a "power shower" for someone - max time of 1 hour.
yeah they're okay.
Yes, I do usually like those things, really depends on who it is for.
With close friends and family, of course I approaching to help them celebrate an upcoming baby or a matrimony. Thats what friends and family are for, isn't it, to be able to share and relish in those special moments of vivacity?
If it is someone distant that I wouldn't enjoy sharing good news and celebrate with, I usually decline the invitation and send a card and small gift to be polite.
Power shower? Well, do doesn`t matter what works for ya. Personally, I wouldn't want to be invited to a shower, fork over a 40 dollar gift, and then be shoved out the door.
No, and most women I know personally do not like to attend them any. It's just an obligation that you have to do. I usually hold odd gifts just laying around presently that I have a child, because otherwise, it's always some shopping time involved that you don't enjoy. It's not fun playing those stupid games and chitchatting more or less labor. Anyone who actually remembers labor knows that it SUCKS.
Yes I do, it's really the only time I get to see most of my friends. Baby showers mostly, so I won't feel chance bringing my own kids. Plus most of my friends are competitive so they like to outdo the previous party with something better. so it's other something new at them
EDIT: although I don't like it when they are so close together, it gets expensive.
Yes, they are generally a fun time for most that do attend. Some women are just Party Poopers no thing what they attend, and can't enjoy someone else's happiness. I think most do delight in them.
I think kid showers can be alot of fun if they are for a good freind. Wedding showers I dont usually like.
My mom is throwing something like a powershower it will be two hours lately a small lunch (salad) and then gifts we are not planning on doing games other then maybe bingo as i expand gifts because we dont want people to be board.
I don't usually like to turn to baby showers just because I hate standing around making small address and watching the clock.
If it is someone I am close to then I usually wallow in it. If it is someone I don't know very well I generally see it as a chore and a social duty. I've never heard of a "power shower".
Answers: My wife doesn't. If she goes to your shower you can feel special, incentive it ain't often. I think guys should get a marriage ceremony shower, ya know tools, gardening equipment, fishing/hunting equipment. While we're at it, if you guys have avon and "avon-type" parties -- Why don't we guys get together, cook some ribs, drink beer and elapse around a Cabela's or Summit Racing catalog, that would be cool.
Only if it's someone I'm close to, but I think it's rude when people do open houses or a really short one. It's close to they only want the gifts not the people.
I love baby showers, they are great. So many cute little tiny things.
Baby Shower-yes
Wedding Shower-not really
what's a power shower?
I repugnance hate hate baby showers- so boring
so when I be pregnant I requested something alittle more fun
So my husband rented an indoor playground for my shower
he invited whole families to come, not just the women of the house
We have a 24 foot slide, adult sized moon-bounce, air hockey, obsticle course, etc..
It was a blast!
and afterward, I took smaller number than 20 minutes to open all my presents while guests ate cake, then we adjectives went home.
Everyone had fun, no one get bored, and there was plenty of baby chitchat, but it wasn't the only thing people be talking about.
Sometimes.
Depends on who it's for and how well I know them.
Any type of shower is a chore. I have a tough enough time keeping up with my job, kids and kith and kin obligations. I would appreciate being invited to a POWER SHOWER, which I imagine as mortal like an open house type of party. Show up, drop sour the gift, have a piece of cake, pat the baby belly and gain the days errands done. It's nothing personal, it just seems we are adjectives running out of time. I can only WISH that Power Showers become a reality in my lifetime! Sitting around near other women I don't know, or care to know - is a waste of time. If one doesn't have a social time, I can see why these events are something to look forward to. The majority of us are just trying to keep up with kids, institution, jobs, childrens parties, gift buying, housecleaning, husband pleasing, dinner making and all-around house command. Power to the People! Let's Power Shower!
