Question give or take a few contacts within this slice?
If someone has the option enabled to email or im it will be on their profile to the right of their photo and show email so and so or im so and so...some people enjoy these disabled and contact or not you cannot do so.
When you add someone as a contact, you can see their Q & A's. It would depend on the person's privacy settings if you can email or not. For instance, I have my email available, but no one can IM me unless I give them my IM address.
With emailing and IMing someone, they have to allow it in their settings.
What contacts do is when they ask a question, you will procure an email so that you can see it, and the questions come up in your Network Q&A. Also if someone has their q&a mysterious, by becoming their contact, you can see them.
No not necessarily. It means if their Q&A is hidden, you can view it. But you can't e-mail or IM someone unless they made it so you can within their preferences.
