When should I pack my case for my labor/delivery?
I am 27 weeks and am wondering how soon I should pack my hospital bag? I know it's a bit early now but sometimes it's better to be protected then sorry. How far along were you when you packed it up?
When you reach that point where you feel similar to you could move the house off its foundation, Pack your bags! That is why God gave us 9 months to deliver our babies. You are style ready to go to the hospital and not stopping and getting your toe nails done on the means of access. Good luck with your delivery. God bless your new arrival.
Well, I delivered deeply early (21 weeks and 27 weeks) with my first two children and ended up surrounded by the hospital completely unprepared. The thing I missed the most was my toothbrush, a comb/pick/brush, and my makeup. :)
If I were you I would merely pack now because there's no harm in doing so. Be prepared and you will enjoy no reason to worry. For my third pregnancy I packed my hospital sack at 20 weeks and even though I didn't go into labor until 2 days past my due date I was glad that I be prepared :)
Good luck to you!
I was around 36 weeks, and lone did it then because my panic of a mother insisted on it. Really, if you go into employment on your own, and have all the stuff you need at home it doesn't steal long to shove a couple of things in a bag.
I heaving my bag when I was 4 weeks away from delivery date. I purely wanted to be ready and luckily I was because I be 1/2 weeks early. As soon as you have everything on your check list equipped I say go for it. It doesn't hurt to be prepared ahead of time. Good luck!!
i am 24 weeks and i'll be packing my bag by 32 weeks because thats when my mom will come to our place and she is going to bring ALLL the stuff.
I'd pack it by 36 weeks. Earlier than that, you are constantly taking things in and out. You would know by in a minute if you have had problems with preterm labor. Besides, stuff get sortof stale packed up for a long period.
i will be at 30 weeks *when i become pregnant
I brimful most of my bag at 30 weeks. That way, I had plenty of time to include to it if I had forgotten something. A few things had to wait until the big year though (snacks, phone/charger etc)
Pack it when ever you feel approaching it. Things can even be brought the next day. It is more a matter of your emotional state than practicality.
The most important one, you have been "packing" for 27 weeks.
I was about 32 weeks and have my son at 36 weeks.
Answers: I needed to pack it by 37 weeks but i would always say ohh ill do it tomorrow until in the future i was 38weeks4days pregnant when i went to the doctor and i was 4 cm and 80% effeced so she stripped my membranes minus telling me until after i went home having contractions and busy my bag real quick an hour next i was leaving for the hospital. so i would suggest 35 weeks to be safe. my toddler boy is 7 weeks old now! :)
It's really up to you. I packed my bags at around 38 weeks.
