Horrible warmth induced diaper over-hasty?
My poor son has an awful blistering diaper rash. It's been within the 100's for weeks now, and I can't get it to heal. He's never have a diaper rash before, ever, I always changed him right after nap and meals.
I have tried three different creams, baby powder,(don't verbs, I covered his face when I put the powder on him) and everything I can think of.
It looks awful, like blisters and little pits. What can I do to treat it? And also, will it scar his bottom? I feel so bad for him. He also have heat rash all over his fund. Even with the a/c running, its still unbearable.
In addition to using zinc oxide on his bottom and diaper nouns, I would also put vasoline where the rash is on his body. Try and keep him cool and dry as much as possible. Also, if you can consent to him be naked for awhile. Oxygen will help greatly.
When my son get diaper rash, I let him hang out undressed for a while after his tub. Also, when changing him, make sure his skin is completely dry before you apply the cream. If there is blistering, he could hold a yeast infection on his bottom. I would take him to the dr to check. Triple cream works really well - usually clears my baby's up within a year. You could try an oatmeal bath for comfort and let him go diaperless for a short time while. good luck!
If it's too the point of blisters, time to call the doctor. They can prescribe a cream that will hold it healed in no-time... Poor thing!
if it is yeast you can use lotrimin (for athletes foot- its the same thing.)
permit him go diaperless, and when he does have a dipe on, change it every two hours. its the fry and the wetness that causes rash.

He needs to see his pediatrician, it sounds like a yeast unwary, if it is then you can put monistat cream on it to get it to go away. Lotramin AF works all right for yeast rash.
