Do you draw from to hold your kid hastily after transfer?
If you have a C-section it will be awhile. They have to stitch you back up first and carry you back to your room.
I delivered vaginally, and my daughter was totally able-bodied, so when she came out they immediately plopped her on my chest. After a minute or two, they took her, cleaned her up a bit, cleaned me up a bit, weighed her and after they gave her back to me but put her under my gown and on my chest, for skin to skin contact. She be there for quite a while, and she started looking for my nipple so I 'fed' her. That lasted more or less 20 minutes, then I wanted my husband to hold her... So the nurses took her, put a diaper on her and some clothes, swaddled her and then it be time for daddy.
I remember it so vividly... It will be the most amazing time for you. Congratulations on your expected little guy.
daddy got to hold our son first because he be delivered by C-section. I was probably a good 15-20 minutes up to that time I even got to SEE my son. They had to get me adjectives stitched up and back into my room.
They put her right on me, like with in second. They lifted up my shirt so it was skin to skin contact. I held her for quite some time past they cleaned her up, or I let anyone else hold her, Hehe. We just kinda stared at each other for awhile. I'll never forget that moment surrounded by my life, when I became a mother.
You can tell them how you want the transference done. Tell them you want to hold your baby right away, before clean up or anything. They usually respect your wishes. Unless here is a medical reason then you should be able to hold your babe right away.
i think it depends on the hospial
I ended up have an emergency C-section and didn't get to hold my daughter until at least an hour after she was born. It be probably a few minutes (but seemed like forever) after she was born formerly I could see her. By the time I got to meet her she was adjectives cleaned up, diapered, had a shirt on and was swaddled.
My daughter be premature, I was under general anesthesia for the confinement and she was on the ventilator so I didn't get to hold her for over 3 wks, but I made up for it after that :)
I am so jealous of my husband he get to hold our son before I did. I delivered him via c-section, so first they cleaned him up, then swaddled him, later let daddy hold him and finally it was my turn! It must have taken them smaller number that 5-6 mins but I was getting impatient:-)
I had a c-section and they showed the boys (twins) to me when they came out, took them to clean them up and check them. While they be sewing me up, my husband got to see them, then hold them. When I was "done" they plopped one surrounded by each of my arms and wheeled me out. It wasn't really all that long and I be a little out of it from the drugs. And the drugs made me puke so it's a good thing I wasn't holding them!
Depends on what you put in your birth plan. When I delivered my daughter they put her straight into my arms, covered within the goo and everything, was the most amazing experiance of my life! The smell of her was incredible!
I got to hold my baby girl as soon as she come out, well right after the nurse sucked the amniotic fluid out of her mouth. she was wrapped up in a blanket and put on my belly! It adjectives depends on how the baby is doing when they come out
They cut his umbilical cord and quickly suctioned out his trunk, but within probably a minute to two minutes I was holding my son, while he was gooey and adjectives.
It depends. If your baby is born healthy and there is no for see medical issues then your baby should be placed on your tummy. But if baby is particular to have a medical problem prior to delivery or if your baby is born premature or is the labour was traumatic then the baby is taken over to the stove to be assessed.
I held both my kids as soon as they entered the world! You may want to talk near your doctor to see if they know why some babies are immediately given to mom and others go to the nurse.
I didn't get to hold my son for at smallest a half hour after he was born.
They were sewing my vag up because I have an episiotomy, plus they had to evaluate the baby (he had a broken shoulder). Then, they give him to his dad because I was still being stitched.
put you arms like a crib and your hands will be adjested
my little one is 2week and look like daddy
I had to have an emergency c-section
however, when I was planning vaginal birth the doctor told me they would lay him on my belly straight away
even near my c-section, my husband said they put him to my chest directly after cleaning him up, while the doctor was still stitching me up
(I don't remember because I blacked out before his delivery, but when I woke up the lactation consultant be holding him up to my breast letting him nurse for me)
a friend of mine wasn't with the father when her son was born
so they put the baby on her chest and tolerate her cut her own umblical cord (traditionally daddy's job to cut the umblical cord)
