Every culture seems crazy to the people outside - I am sure there are populace in the world who are totally appalled by the U.S. customs of circumcising infants, letting them sleep alone and putting them in daycare with strangers. I'm not criticizing associates who do those things - just pointing out that in some cultures, that would seem insane.

no... that sounds more close to to me to ensure death, not a healthy life.
