Would this brand you surface unnatural?
The other day i went to my work to show my baby bad to co-workers.and to speak to the HR about when i was coming back to work..In the break room a masculine co-worker said to me are you breastfeeding. Not looking at my face but, at my breast area..It made me feel so unusual all i could say was yeah..Now, i know he is a nice guy..I am not sure if he intended it the way it seem..still weird..The solely people that really say anything to me about breastfeeding is resembling a friend that are girls or my Mom or MIL and that is just asking if it was going okay..would you have felt weird too?
A little bit.
Haha, wow...that would be kind of weird. A random man that be at my MIL's birthday party was commenting on my daughter's teeth that were coming surrounded by and then he asked, "well it looks like you are still breastfeeding, those teeth must not perceive good." It made me feel weird coming from a man I don't really know. And PLUS...I have not been breastfeeding for a LONG time!
Breastfeeding comments coming from mommies I don't mind though.
Answers: Well, does he hold children? If so, if he has a wife who is/ has breastfeed, then possibly he was just trying to make small natter and make you feel comfortable with your choice.
Yes, I totally realize how you could take it as weird, personally, I would enjoy taken it as weird at first too. But, try and think about it this opening, perhaps men are waking up and seeing this is something totally normal and pure. I have always thought that more public acceptance would provoke more women to feel more comfortable in their surroundings while being a breastfeeding mothers.
You said so yourself, he is a nice guy. Try not to lug this comment as the wrong way. You are going back to work I imagine. So I assume you will be pumping while at work. At most minuscule this way, he is obviously very comfortable near breastfeeding, that you won't have to be as discrete, you could probably even say to him, hey, going to pump..lol.
My husband, before one around me nursing our son, was very uncomfortable beside breastfeeding. Now that he has seen how normal it is, he doesn't get the impression the least bit uncomfortable about it. I am no longer nursing, but adjectives of my friends feel completely comfortable to nurse in our house, whether my husband is around or not. I think that truly is, a wonderful article.
yeah it would, a couple of weeks ago a manly friend of a friend asked me if Id had a vaginal birth! that weirded me out too.
Yes, very weirded out. I felt chance when my cousin's boyfriend who is like 50 and she's 20 asked me if I had a vaginal birth. I hate that occupancy. I always call it a natural birth, haha.
OK, I am sure you already know this but guys are weird and sometimes clueless. Even the nicest guy seems to be compelled to any check out a woman or at a minimum look at her boobs. Is he married? Maybe he remembers when his wife did it - because as you know your breast are an entity on on their own when you breastfeed. I didn't think my boobs could get so big and it was apparent. I even remember a woman in my office who had stopped by to say aloud hi and we were all like (yes, it be all women), holy crap, did you see her boobs?
Yeah it would be annoying, but get used to it. Politically correct or not - stuff like this happen in the workplace and outside of it too for that matter - all of the time. Still doesn't niggardly you don't want to smack people!
