How do you walk going on for making a will and assigning god-parents for your children?

My husband and I want to set up a will and have a certain couple from our church be the God-parents for our children. But we don't want it to just be a vocal agreement, we want something official. This way, if anything happens to us, our children will turn directly to their god-parents and no one else. Could you give me some advice on this? What open-handed of things can/should we have in our will?
Answers:    You should write in your will who will achieve the kids and in case those people are not competent to care for them who they should go to. Also, write what should happen to your belongings. Most attorneys propose advice on what to put in them.

My husband and I have agreed for my mother to be the endorsed guardian for our kids. I have an appt to change our will a little when the strange baby comes.
