How do you direct on overnight trips beside cloth diapers?

I never used cloth diapers on my two boys (now 8 and 4) but daughter seemed to rash really bad near them. She is also a very heavy wetter and I never found any diaper that worked for her at night. I own an uncle who is on their death bed and I know that it is only just a business of time until we have a funeral to go to which will be at least a two morning trip. I used prefolds with a snappy and I have microfiber inserts as doublers and used peva pull on pant for covers. At night I use old recieving blankets using the oragomi fold and a prefold folded up inside (I found the recieving blanket and oragomi trick on youtube.) The only damp bags I have are one that will hold about 2-3 diapers and one that holds roughly speaking 6-8 diapers.

How do you mothers who cloth diaper full time manage on trips? Please no one suggest using disposables on her. I do not want to see her broke out in impulsive again.
For overnight I use a bumgenius diaper with either a wicker doubler or hemp. My son is also a heavy wetter and this holds him for 12 hours. Bamboo, hemp, and microfiber all hold more than cotton without calculation bulk.

Doubler, I have the medium one.

Layer, layer, layer! :-) Use super do soaker inserts (1 should be adequate, it is for our toddler soaker overnight), put a waterproof cover (or 2) and then layer beside wool pants or shorts on top. Throw down a waterproof mattress cover (crib pad) and you are good to move about. Good luck!! We have also had luck with Earth's Best disposables, they do not motivation rashes like all the other fragranced, chlorine disposables...if you do entail to go that route.
Answers:    Will you be staying with family or at a hotel? We always stayed near family, and I just took along a garbage pack to use as a wetbag and my preferred detergent and washed diapers there when I needed to. If you're staying at a hotel, try to find one with laundry on site or a laundromat immediate. Laundry on site would probably be a lot easier, because I'd imagine hanging out at a laundromat near three kids would be pretty unpleasant.

I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.
No disposables here :)
For overnight cloth diapering success, I hold only had success next to interlock wool soakers! My little one was a heavy wetter too and I would always donate an extra cotton doubler or two in the cloth diaper and then I used wool soakers over it. They are amazing at getting our heavy wetters through the darkness. If using wool for overnight only (you will only need 1 or 2 covers).you nouns dry them between diaper changes and they only need to be wash once a week!

As far as traveling with dirty diapers, we would bring a small pail and line it beside a plastic bag...toss the diapers in and tie it shut. Keep it simple...if you need to rinse the dipes (there's always a laundromat to be found)!! Source(s): There are a few that offer great wool soakers. I found Tidbit offers restrained priced soakers here at: http://www.tidbit-couture.com/store/Default.asp
