What is fair-minded for days bad surrounded by a daycare?
This new sitter wants me to pay her for holidays AND 7 personal days. Is that disinterested?
I agree with LatinMama...they should be paid for the days you are. Holidays, personal days (as long as they supply notice to you ahead of time) and vacation (especially YOUR vacation). Babysitters/Daycare Providers/Nannies are charging to watch your children, lately because the kids aren't there doesn't mean they can go and crawl the spot with another child (I mean, say you establish to go on vacation for a week, the care provider won't be capable of find another child to fit in the schedule just for that week) so its resembling you're paying her to "hold" your child's spot in the daycare.
I have worked as a nanny in times past, and most parents just don't realize that it is a job, just similar to any other. Yes, we love the kids and enjoy our work, but it is work all the same. If I could afford to NOT work, I wouldn't be watching their kids (unless they be a personal friend or something) so I expect to be paid while working, and for any days the family takes sour..
My daycare charges for holidays. I have to pay for Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, etc. It's a business. I get those holidays compensated to me by my job, why wouldn't I pay my daycare for the same? I do not enjoy to pay for personal days off, because when the owner is on vacation, one of the other workers is surrounded by charge. We also get charged a premium for "holidays" that we need care on, holidays resembling MLK Day, President's Day, Federal holidays that not all businesses close for.
I totally agree near Landon's mommy. Unless they are keeping your kid on holidays and vacation, then no way.
as a sitter nope. They are to get paid for the days they work. You dont have to settle up holidays and personal days for a babysitter. You are a not business.you do not have to pay for those days if tehy do not work. Now if you have the money and want to you can. It will hold on to staff easier. I wouldnt do more than 5 personal days and I would make them wokd 3 mopnths before they can use them if you choose to do that.

No, she's individual unreasonable. If she was a nanny, I'd say it's OK, but just a babysitter -NO channel would I pay for that.
Hire a teenager from your neighborhood - they're a lot cheaper. That's what I did.
My day watchfulness provider charges me for last minute calls, like if I establish I want to call out from work and stay home with my son OR if he's out sick for a day or 2. She also get paid the holidays that we're all off-x-mas, thanksgiving etc. If I put in leave with her ahead of time, she doesn't charge, or if she's taking vacation.
But when we get job, don't we demand paid holidays, personal, and sick time? Shouldn't it be the same for them? It's a business.
If they are a full time nanny, watching the kids 40 hours a week than yeah that seem fair, otherwise no.
Answers: My daycare, which is set up to ay weekly, I pay $170 a week and that is having mondays stale. That includes the four days my daughter is at daycare and all her food. We pay the same amount no situation what even if there is a Holiday or if we take a vacation and she isnt in that. Now if she is gone the whole week, I dont know, I would have to ask them, for a babysitter though... No way.

i wouldnt pay for holidays. but thats jsut me. unless she is watching ur kid on xmas. why should she attain paid
