Breastfeeding and increased body temp?

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this - I am nursing my now 13 month old. She nurses solitary about 6-8 times a day. Up until she was 6 months elderly, I had a normal temperature. At 6 months, I get strep throat and a fever of 104. Since then, my temp has not come down below 100 really often, and never below 99.6. My general physician says it's because I am breastfeeding, but I haven't be able to find anything on the internet supporting that. Anyone else have this experience?

Hmmmm, I know that initially a mother can win a slight fever when her milk comes in, but I have not hear of a consistent fever in relation to breastfeeding. Is it possible that you may have picked up some lesser viral infection after the strep? Maybe you're having some difficulty with your immune system?

I myself get fever probably once a month that last a couple of days with no other symptoms, but I attribute that to the mono I came down beside a few years ago, not to breastfeeding.
