Another Cloth Diapering Quesion?
Tell me if this is right? When they use the diapers, you rinse them out in cold water as best as possible, and then throw them into a container until the end of the day. Then you rinse in the wash machine once in cold water and afterwards wash in warm/hot water. Then you can tumble dry them on low? Is that right?
Okay what nearly if you are out? Do you just put them into a bag until you get home? Do you try and rinse them out? I am sorry I am so clueless...these things are expensive, and I dont want to ruin them.
Nope, just put them in the container dry until you wash them. No need to dunk and rinse like contained by the past. Make sure you do remove most of the poo before you put them in the container though and wash every two days to avoid ammonia build up.
Wash with as little detergent as possible first on a cold wash to remove stains and consequently a hot wash to sanitize. I always then do an extra cycle or rinse on hot in need detergent to remove the excess detergent.
If you have pocket diapers/covers it is recommended to line dry them in charge to get the most life out of them. We do tumble dry ours though here and there. This site have great instructions about additives, detergent choice, specific brands that need extra care, etc.

Bumgenius diapers are a dry dipe...you don't soak them before washing. When Mav's diapers are drizzling, I just throw them into the laundry room until I am ready to start a load (not throw but stack them). When nearby is a poopy one, I usually start the load right then (he only poops once every few days).
Soaking these can mess up the springy though so unless there's a poop I wouldn't get them wet until you are ready to valet them. You can get a garbage pail and maintain them in there if they smell, but don't soak them.
When I am out I carry extra grocery loads with me and just tie the dipe up in the case until I get home. I don't rinse them.
You deserve a medal for even considering cloth. I could not do it.
Sorry I don't own the answer for you, just giving you kudos for your hard effort over raising a child.
I rinsed them surrounded by the laundry room sink and put them in a pail, sprinkled them with baking soda to deflect the smell. Every two days I did the laundry. Since I already rinsed them, they didn't need a rinse but sometimes I would do a rinse before washing them. A hot rinse, and next a warm or cold wash with some laundry soap and oxyclean. I dried them adjectives the way in the dryer on hot.
Answers: There is no call for to rinse them out. If there's poop on them (more than just breastfed poo), just rinse or knock off the poop into the toilet. Keep them within a dry diaper pail until wash time - I do it every other morning. I do one full wash contained by cold, then one full wash in hot. Use partially the regular amount of a CD-friendly detergent (I like Country Save) with each purify, and turn on the extra rinse for both. Dry them on low or medium. Here's a tip, though: I use bumGenius with the velcro tabs, and the dryer take a real toll on the velcro. Over 8 months, it got pretty bad. BG replaced them at no cost to me, and in a minute I make sure to line dry the outers - even got a drying rack for indoors to use when it's raining.
When we're out, we use a small size Bummis bag. It was $7, and it's the perfect size for the diaper shoulder bag. It holds about 5 diapers. If it's feasible, I dump poop into the toilet wherever I am, but usually I purely wrap it up and dump it when I get home. Same goes for day contemplation - I just rinse those before I wash them.
Good luck! I'm glad to answer any other question by email if you like: dcsavak@yahoo.com.
EDIT: For soft/runny poops that aren't just from breastmilk, I use a diaper sprayer. They cost about $40, install well into the plumbing on your toilet (I installed mine in about 5 minutes), and make poop spraying super straightforward. Source(s): CD mom
Why are you using them anyway? They have biodegradable diapers now! Cloth diapers are disgusting.
