Is your home babe proofed?
I asked a question earlier about my 1yr weak getting into everything, and it looks like maybe I'm the problem, our home is not baby proofed at adjectives, I would probably save myself alot less stress chasing him around the house. Is your home baby proofed?
My home is tot proofed to the max!! LOL
I have outlet plugs in each and every outlet surrounded by the house (even the master bath).
The exterior doors have covers over the knobs.
The sliding glass door have a lock and so do all the windows.

We own a wire cover running along the baseboards to contain all those loose wires so my kids won't trip or pull on them.

*I enjoy no idea what all this talk around your dog is. You didn't even mention the dog in your question! Oh well..I guess I miss adjectives the drama! LOL
Yep. At first I didn't have any baby proofing except the plug in covers. I tolerate him play with the cabinets, laundry, etc. Slowly, over months of picking up the messes day surrounded by and day out I started child proofing. First came the drawer locks after he kept getting knifes out of the drawer. Then come the cabinet locks after he kept pulling the blender/toaster/mixer out and breaking them, then came the door locks so he couldn't get into the bathroom after I found adjectives the TP out of the roll on the floor beside a puddle of soap. A lock on the laundry room when he dumped out detergent and ate the dog food out of the dog bowel. Then the baby gates went up contained by the dining room so he couldn't break any more plates, then the baby gate contained by the TV (we have a large projector tv) room so he couldn't break any more DVDs/CDs.
It was a gradual piece. Now he's 2 1/2 and we now have double child proof locks on all the doors since he's figure out all of them.
Yeah, you will save yourself a LOT of headache if you take comfort of it now, because my son has only gotten worse beside age! Good luck!
Answers: Not to an extreme. We enjoy the cabinet under our sink locked up due to cleaning supplies and the ones in our bathroom locked for the same root. We also have the outlets covered and a baby gate that sits between the living room and kitchen(though, we don't use it partially of the time anyway!). That's it, though.
ETA: Seth, you are a complete fool. Babies and toddlers don't know the difference between being nice and mean. We have to TEACH them that. Her son isn't grab at her dog because he wants to mean to her, he's just exploring and research. It's a process to teach them "nice pets", one that we've been working on with our son for powerfully over 4-5 months and he's JUST getting the concept down.
Yup, I've got the plugs covered
oven knob shielded
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
coffee table corners covered
kinfe drawer and cleaning cabinets on a latch
It gives me peace of mind that if i nip up to the loo or anything that he'll be alright.
I remember looking on this baby proofing checklist that go so over the top! Everything from plants to the pet bowls were fatal
Yes. I have outlet covers in place, locks on the cabinet and child locks on the doors. I don't think I have any other child proofed things.
ETA~ I also have child gates but only use it when I do not want her to go into a dependable room.
Kinda. We own the plug in plastic things in the wall so he can't mess with those. And we own things to lock our cabinets in our kitchen but we need to attain like 2 more. But the one with all the cleaning stuff is locked. And later we have a gate to go up the stairs. That's it. I regard we will need to buy door knob locks soon bc Brayden reaches up for it like he know it opens the door lol Uh oh!
partially... plugs-check, cabinet's-check, his whole room-check, bathroom door- closed, my bedroom door-closed
only article he gets a "no" for is the T.V. and electronics
yes i had a guy come and baby proof my house, because my first baby get into everything! we have 8 kids now and our house is still baby proofed we hold kids from the ages 10-2months so our house has been baby proffed for roughly 9 years
He's only 1 years old- of course he's curious about the dog-so is my 8 month ripened son! But that dog is faster than anyone, so when she sees him coming, she runs!
My home is somewhat baby proofed, plugs are covered, corners are protected. What I have to find right now is the locks for the cabinets and the safety gate.
As for Jesse's Uncle, he's a troll, don't listen to him. All he has is a picture of some weird looking child that probably isn't even his.
Yep just did it recently. Top to bottom. I needed to be able to pee without worrying she would pull the cord of some appliance down on herself.
No other than terrifying things everything is in its place. We didnt with our first we taught her to stay out of things. I enjoy gates up this time and i didnt the first so that to me helps alot cause it keep them in one room and not eating cat food.lol.But other than that no i newly watch them and divert them...often over and over again but they will learn eventually...
