Is it possible that Autism is coupled to dearth of hasty caring strictness?
So many theories of what causes Autism have be debunked. In countries which have a high inoculation rate and maternity leave of 6 months to 2 years, the rates of autism have not increased dramatically as they enjoy in the US. Children who were in daycare from a babyish age have a higher incidence of autism. Adoptive babies have a better incidence of Autism. Autism can't be blamed on the parents. Is it possible though that there is a correlation between the early use of non-maternal care (daycare from 6 weeks) and autism?
Perhaps bad care as an infant may enjoy hand in autism, but daycare is rarely "bad" effort.
Yes, there are horror stories, but the majority of children have had some form of daycare and do not own autism.
I think that everyone wishes they could know the answer to this dismal mystery.
My kids pediatrician thinks it's genetic.
One thing is certain, more and more empire are diagnosed. It used to be that people who were autistic were call "mute" or "dumb" or "slow" or "retarded" or "not right" and we all know that there have be people like that since the beginning of time.
That said, I do come up with that it's important for babies to be loved and cared for and depending upon the daycare you choose your baby might win tons of attention and love or your baby might spend the day crying in a carseat and singular held for bottles *if lucky* and diaper changes.
I can't see how that kind of neglect on a day by day basis wouldn't have a negative lifelong impact on newborn. I worked at some pretty horrible daycares in my time and I've worked at some pretty wonderful ones too!
My babies have never been surrounded by childcare, though. After working for a number of daycares I decided that I wasn't having kids until I could pilfer care of them myself. 8 years later I became a mom. :-)
Answers: That's an intriguing concept. Which countries are those with high vaccination rates but not sophisticated rates of autism? Just curious.
My only thought of confirmation might be rubella-associated autism. Perhaps early prenatal care allows for women to be screen for rubella immunity and counselled on avoidance if they have no immunity.
But...if you want to draw the correlation between *daycare* afterwards my guess might be to look in the direction of overexposure to infectious diseases (not vaccinations, since you can't get the disease from the vaccination). That is conceptually why children under a year old in daycare are theorize to have higher rates of asthma - exposure to respiratory illnesses.
My 3 year old son has autism. I am a stay at home mom so that debunks your little proposal, doesn't it?
I don't know how my son got Autism. It doesn't run in our family and I notably doubt that it was caused by vaccinations. I reflect on it was a result of brain damage he sustained when he was born.
My son have died less than a minute before he was born. The troop at Arnold Palmer successfully resuscitated him, but he was on life support. Basically he was a vegetable.
It turns out that my son have a hole in his thoracic duct that leaked lymphatic fluid all throughout his tiny body. The extra fluid cause so much pressure that it collapsed his lung, constricted his heart and liver. It was only the fluid that made it look as if his liver was on the wrong side of his body. The doctors inserted chest tubes to drain the excess fluid. My son be born weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces and once the fluid drained, he was only 5 pounds!! That is greatly of fluid!!
My son was on life support for a week, then surrounded by the NICU for 3 weeks.
He was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he was 8 months ancient and Autism when he was 12 months old.
yes, it is very possible
Wow, you are amazing. I mean there's got to be tens of thousands of doctors, scientists, and researchers who hold devoted their professional and personal lives to find a cause and cure for autism, and little old you has figure it out. Kudos! Now can you get to work on a cure for AIDS and a cancer vaccine?
IDK. i know a little boy who be diagnosed with autism- he use to rock ALL the time at about a year old. His parents NEVER remunerated any attention to him AT ALL. he was stuck in the pack and play or high bench all day long. i did a little research of my own and intellectual that in extreme cases of neglect, children often experience impossible to tell apart symptoms of cetain types of autism. I KNOW for a fact this kid was neglected too. i knwo a boy in my daycare class who be negelcted and put into foster care and he shows a ton of signs of autism
thats intersting but my son has autisim and he was never in afternoon care and was not adopted but it is something to chew over aout
That's an interesting idea. Perhaps its the lack of suitable stimulation. Especially since children with autism have deeply of trouble with socialization and communication. Maybe lack of care specifically from the parents lead the children to not be able to develop these skills because we know young babies look to the familiar to revise from. If there is no one familiar, they simply don't cram. So much of babies learning is from studying faces and just listen to the flow of conversation. You might be on to something.
