Im trying to prepare for toddler and call for direction?

i am due any day now and i just have my shower... i got so many great gifts! alot of everything... so im trying to decide what to hang on to and what to take back... anyhow... i was wondering how long did ur newborn stay in their newborn sized clothing... do u think she will last the unbroken summer in this size? and how big of a difference is the newborn size and the 0-3 months size? so confusing... lol... thanks for any info!
i would get only a few nb things and more 0-3 months
my baby grew like greased lightning and were only in the bright born things for a bit
granted the 0-3 month cloths were a bit loose at first, but she quickly grew into (and out of, lol) them
she is now almost three months and already wearing 6month clothing
It really depends on the size of your baby. A 7 pound baby can probably wear NB size for around a month, and a 10 pound infant may not even be able to wear NB size at all! I would suggest to have roughly 5 NB outfits, then 10-15 outfits for each size after that. Your baby may be capable of wear 0-3 mos for the rest of the summer (depending on what part of the country you live in of course, I live surrounded by Texas and we were still wearing summer clothes last November and December, lol!). You will be surprised how quickly you will be wash clothes. Sometimes my baby would go through 4 outfits a day, from peeing while I changed him, have a leaky diaper, spitting up after feeding him, etc. I was washing adjectives of his clothes about every 3 or 4 days! He went through more clothes than I did, lol!
She wont be in the new born size long! My girl be 7lbs when she was born, and at 1 month she had outgrown her new born clothing. Now she is 2 months hoary and wears 3-6 month old clothing.

They really grow out of it that fast.
i just had a baby girl 6 weeks ago! she be born at 8lbs 5oz. she stayed in newborns for about 4 weeks and in a minute she is moving into 0-3 months some 3 months depending on the brand. Carters brand seems to run small! and the sizes go

Newborn which is smallest
0-3 Which is a little bigger
3 months and so on!

Its upright to have a lot of all because some babies dont even fit surrounded by newborn
My daughter barely fit within the newborn clothes at all, I would buy mostly 0-3 months or higher, she won't stay in those for long any!
Keep possibly a weeks' worth of newborn stuff.
I would keep maybe 5 outfits of each stage. 5 outfits for the newborn stage, 0-3, 3-6, 6,9, 9-12.
You don't call for a lot of clothes, trust me. I kind of regret having so tons baby clothes, she never wore so many stuff!
Answers:    I think it really depends on the babe and the brand. My son is two weeks old and some newborn sized stuff is too big on him while others fit just right. But then he have some sack sleepers that are size "0-6 months" and those fit him.

All of it is very confusing and they generally do sizes based on solidity so with every company going with their own sizing guide, its really just a guessing team game.

What you can do is keep everything, with the tags on them. Then once the newborn is here you can wash and use things as needed and return whatever you don't use. Even without reciepts some places are accurate about letting you exchange items for other sizes.
My daughter only stayed within the newborn clothes for one month. But I had a big baby. 0 to 3 months are slightly bigger but I found that my daughter could wear them the day she be born if I wanted to .
NB will only fit for a couple weeks. I wouldn't spend foolishly too much money on that size.
You will notice the sizes are in increments of three's. You can generally expect them to out grow it in 3 months. 2-3 months if you have a big baby.
My kid was in the newborn size and the 0-3 month size for about three days, if that. She weightiness 9#, 4 oz when born. There were a lot of outfits she never even wore.
She won't be growing until she's about 4 months. I mean sure she's gonna receive ALITTLE tiny bigger but you won't notice. Source(s): Sister has a baby, I took protection of her most of the time. I was like the mom, I would know.
money money money
the more you save now, the less stress latter
save at LEAST $5,000 for starters
It just depends on how big your kid is. My son was just born 7 weeks ago and he worn newborn clothes for 4 weeks he was 9 lbs at birth. He's surrounded by 0-3 but they fit him just right so he won't be in them for long.

My advice is to keep hold of the tags on most of it and just use it as you need it. That method if the baby is big you have stuff you can take contained by a exchange for a bigger size. Source(s): Mommy of 2
