When do u stop breastfeeding,?

i was wondering when its most common to stop breastfeeding?
i dont wanna breastfeed intell shes eight like i saw some female on youtube do,
is it when they start eating real food, and when do you stop and give them regular milk, i really dont know how adjectives this works.
most stop before 6 months but it's recommended to do so at lowest possible for 6 months to a year but whenever you both are ready to stop. the rest who didn't give up the first few months usually keep it up for a year. Go as long as you can most babies will wean after the 1st year on their own as they start consumption solids as a majority of their diet and that's also when they can start cow's milk.
It's most common to wean at 3 months.

HOWEVER it is recommended by the WHO, the CDC, the AAP that you nurse exclusively for 6 months (introduce baby foods at that time) and verbs nursing on demand at least until they are 12 months, ideally longer. You don't have to be in motion on forever, but the longer you can nurse the better for your infant. Around here the moms nurse at least for 12 months, up to and beyond 2 years is normal and common as capably, it's uncommon for moms to nurse beyond 3 years, but that's where I live.
I breastfed my daughter till she was around 13 months. I started giving her cows milk the week before she turned one and around 13 months she stop breastfeeding on her own. She like the cows milk and cups.

The Dr. say to not give cows milk till they are 12 months old. So they entail to breastfed or formula fed until then.

EDIT: You don't have to stop breastfeeding at 1. Its correct to breastfeed beyond that but its up to you. Just do what feels right for you and your child.
U stop whenever u feel it's right for u and the child to stop. And a baby can't have cow's milk til 1 year, and alotta women who don't want their kids to enjoy formula breastfed til then. Others breastfed til about 6 months and then switch to formula, it adjectives depends on the woman and what she wants to do.

So in between 6 months and 1 year is prolly the average for most women to stop breastfeeding. I breastfed my son for 6 months, i wanted to do a year, but it basically didn't work out (he wasn't interested anymore).

I am currently pregnant with twins and i plan to try to breastfeed them for about a year.

Hope this helps and apposite luck, :D.
You should stop by age 1 and then switch to just a normal cup or sippy cup.
I'm going to start weaning my son at about 1 yr. when I go support to work. I'll try to eliminate the daytime feeds first and still feed him first entry in the morning and before he goes to bed a darkness. I don't know when I'll try to eliminate the last 2 feeds, but it will be shortly after the first 2. I newly don't want to do too many things at once. At a year he's also going to be starting daycare, and I don't want to stress him out too much. I also don't want to feed him formula or have to prepare bottles, which is another function why I will breastfeed until 1 yr. At that time I will start to give him whole milk. He started on solids at 6 mos. and at 10 mos. he's only breastfeeding 4 times a morning anyway. It's actually recommended that you breastfeed for the first 1-2 years or as long as it's comfortable for both you and the baby.
The AAP recommends exclusively breastfeeding (no babyfoods, cereals or formula) until 6 months of age. They also recommend to continue breastfeeding until at most minuscule 1 year
- taken from their site -
"There is no upper limit to the duration of breastfeeding and no evidence of psychologic or developmental harm from breastfeeding into the third year of life or longer."
The WHO recommend until AT LEAST 2 years old
- taken from their site -
"exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life is the recommended way of feed infants, followed by continued breastfeeding with appropriate complementary foods for up to two years or beyond."

I plan to let my daughter decide when to wean herself. She is 12 months antiquated, eats tons of table foods, but really prefers her milkies.
I be completely on my daughter's schedule. We nursed when she wanted to until she was almost 15 months old and I wouldn't nurse her in the middle of the night anymore. They be just comfort feedings. She wasn't hungry. I weaned her, or I should say, she weaned herself at 18 months. She seriously said, "all done" one darkness while nursing. I took that as a clue and nursed her one last time so I could say goodbye to the bonding time. It was a wonderful experience. I hope you nurse for as long as you can. Plus it help prevent ear infections which are so painful for little babies.
When your baby boy get hard from looking at your boob.
I always stopped around 8 months. But some go as long as 2 years ancient. It's a personal choice. It also depends on the child, some want to nurse longer and some self-ween.
Answers:    It's really up to you. I am breastfeeding and plan on weaning my child by the age of 1 when I can give them whole milk. I have hear there is no NEED for you to do it after the age of 1 because they can get those nutrients from other sources.

At 1 year old they can enjoy whole milk and after any time they start getting teeth they can have table food (which can be as early as 6 months). You may breast nurture as long as you want though there is no law. You may find your child wean him or herself before a year antediluvian though or not until he / she is 2 (if you go that long).
i haven't have my little one yet but i plan to breastfeed for about 7-9 months
You can stop as soon as the baby starts ingestion "enough" solid food - either 'baby food' (the yucky ones you get surrounded by jars) or 'table food' (regular adult food). However, its good to breastfeed until the baby is 2 years outmoded. Not advisable after that.

You can start giving the whole milk (4% Vitamin D) when the baby is 1 year old.
