How do you keep hold of your babe-in-arms from getting a flat guide ?

My sister told me today. That her 4 month old has a flat head.. on the fund of her head...from laying her on her back to sleep...My Baby is 1 month and 3 days mature..My sister told me it could happen to mine...I do give her tummy time..when she is awake..On a pallet on the floor...Will this help to preserve her head from getting flat? also to i have another question around her hair..she was born with a organizer full of hair...It is starting to look a little thin on top and on one side..I don't want her to lose her mane...my mother in law said that she thinks she would enjoy already lost it if she was going to..what do you think?
Tummy time is great, the more she has, the smaller number likely she will have a flat head. It will also assistance strengthen her neck, arms, etc. My son's head started to look a little flat, but as soon as he started sitting up on his own, his guide got more round. You can also get one of those "snugglies" rather than keeping your little one on her back all of the time. The are great because you can do light housework near your child in those.

His hair also seemed approaching it thinned out...but I think that was just due to his organizer getting larger. His hair also lightened, so it appears much thinner.
When they are awake hang on to them propped up with a boppy or in a bouncy seat. Hold them as much as you are competent to so they are not laying all the time.

You can also turn their head from side to side if it does not already instinctively fall to the side. My son's head alwats fell to the side an he would lay more on his cheek and I would just produce sure I rotated it so that one sude did not get flat.

My son has a bald spot but no flat guide and never has.
Tummy time is good, but thats of late for a few minutes. To prevent flat head, keep your baby past its sell-by date her back as much as possible. My baby is 2 months old, she lays on her pay for in the crib over night. Then in the mornings I nurse her and she lays on her sides until we both take up for the day. Then during the day shes either one held or on her bouncy chair which sits her more upright (less pressure on the back of her head)

My 2 month aged is losing her hair too, and she had a head full of gummy black hair. This is completely normal. It happens at around 8 weeks. There isnt anything you can do to prevent it. Her coat will grow back.
i just put my son on his side. a different side each hours of darkness. and tummy time during the day. and the hair thing is majority. you cant stop it most likely. my son had newborn hair on the put money on of his head and lost it all. no big deal.
Honestly, I let my baby sleep on a semi flat pillow and he have a very nice round head.

Babies lose their newborn hair adjectives the time and the new ones that comes out are actually stronger. My son lost all his spine on the top of his head when he was 3 weeks old. Made him look similar to a little old man. But then different hair grew out and it was nicer and thincker. So don't worry if the mane falls off. There really isn't anything you can do anyway.
Yes your baby could get hold of a flat head if you don't move her enough. Most Dr's suggest you make sure you switch the side of her team leader that she is laying on every hour or so. Also, they sell these things where you can prop her team leader (it is shaped like a donut) so her head is supported but there is a hole where on earth the head doesn't touch anything. I think they are a little pricey. Plus you should not go off your baby in "container" too much. So don't over do it with swing, motor seat and floor. You have to move the baby plenty so the head gets pressure and touched in different spots
My son's coat thinned when he was about 2-4 months old. Now he is 7 months and his tresses is getting thicker. My mother says babies hair usually thins.
Answers:    keep her of her hindmost as much as possibility as far as hair it will probably fall out and will grow back
Babies can get flat heads if they are vanished in the same position for long periods of time. My first loved the swing. She be in it during the day and we let her sleep surrounded by it. She got a flat head. Actually this problem is a little more complicated. Sometimes the muscles contained by a babies neck are short or stiff and it makes the head position itself into one and the same position. We thought it was cute that no matter what we did, our daughter would tilt her head to the right. But it be a major problem. And she had to wear a medical helmet to correct her flat head.

Make sure your child is getting lots of tummy time. And if she sleeps next to her head in the same position adjectives the time, that could be a problem.

As for the hair, a lot of babies do lose their hair. Nothing you can do just about it. Both of mine were born with a full head of shade hair, and it fell out and grew in white blonde.
I'm not much aid with the flat head. My daughter was surrounded by the NICU, and slept on her stomach, and was turned every 6 hours. So the sides of her head were intensely flat! :( But it evened out once she was laying on her back again.

As for the fleece, she might loose it all, she might not. My daughter was born with a organizer full of black hair, lost most of her hair! It's all backbone now, her hair on top of her skipper is a couple inches long, and the rest is pretty short. She is 11 months old. There isn't anything you can do to stop her from loosing it. My daughter was a couple months old earlier she stopped loosing her hair, and it started growing back.
