Favorite Baby Shower Games?
I am co-hosting a baby shower this Saturday for a family member and I stipulation to know what baby shower games are your absolute favorites (like if you went and they didn't do it you'd be disappointed). Feel free to also permit me know those that are a TOTAL bore (like when you stay in the bathroom longer than usual to avoid playing ha)! Thanks in advance for the minister to!!
My favorite game is called A Day as Mommy.
Items needed: A basket of newborn cloths, clothing line, cloths pins, a doll or medium sized stuffed animal, cordless phone.
2 people hold the cloths procession, while the "mommy" is holding the baby ( in a realistic way) she/he have to talk on the phone and hang the clothes on the line using 2 clothes pins on respectively item, this has to be done within 30 secs. Whoever hangs the most clothes win! Its really fun to watch and play.
Gift Bingo - give out blank bingo sheets. The guests fill in what they contemplate she will get for gifts. As she opens gifts they cross the items off until they return with a bingo.
Guess the type of baby food - Label several baby foods with a number. Be sure to write down which food go to which number, then remove the labels. The guests have to guess which food is surrounded by the jar without opening it. After the shower, mommy gets to run the food home with the correct list.
Guess which candy bar is within the diaper - Buy a few different candy bars. Take a piece of each, mush it, microwave it, do whatever to it. Put respectively one in a seperate diaper. The guests have to guess the type of candy bar surrounded by each diaper. Make sure you label these also so you can keep track of what is contained by which diaper.
I hosted a toddler shower once and I found one on a website called feed the baby. You take jars of babyfood and baby spoons and one person is the feeder and the other one eat it and the first team to finish wins. It was so funny. And how big is mommys tummy seem pretty popular.
This was a fun one. Baby relay race.
Need:
diapers( buy some really cheap past its sell-by date brand kind)
stuffed animals and dolls( toys from a child works great for this game)
small baby bottles (cheap at dollar store)
Jug of apple juice
disposable bibs
gerber baby applesauce and infant spoons.
you'll have to find out how many people are coming to find the right amount of things and break them off into teams of of 4.
First team that get done wins.
All teams start at the same time. adjectives you have to say is GO! (you may want a camera or video camera for this one, lol)
1. first person immediately fastens bib onto 2nd person, and feeds them adjectives the applesauce with baby spoon.
2. when done with feed, third person grabs doll/stuffed animal(make a variety and different sizes for more fun) and diapers it.
3. 4th and second person chugs 4oz baby bottle of apple juice. usually this take awhile as the nipple part is really small. lol It's a real laugh to survey!! Whoever is done first wins!
