Question roughly speaking infant sleeping shape?

My daughter is 3.5 months old. I have set up a routine that at 6 we wind down. We steal a walk outside to breath the fresh air, than at 7pm I give her a tub and she goes to bed.
Lately she has started going to daycare full days. We get home around 6pm I breastfeed her and she falls asleep contained by my arms.
I have tried these scenarios:
1. Wake her up - I gave her a tub at 7pm anyway but then she was wide awake and did not want to shift to sleep after the bath and was fussy
2. Tried to keep her awake. I played near her and talked to her to keep her awake until the bath. But it did not work so great any.
3. Let her sleep through hte night - I did not try this yet but I am not sure. it is a good thought to start the night at 6pm?

Any comments and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Answers:    Actually young infants requirement the early bed time! My triplets, until recently, (now 14 months) were going to bed between 6 and 6:30 every hours of darkness!

So we do the 12 hour rule.. at night they should be getting 12 hours of rest.. so if she isn't sleeping through the night already we still say the subsequent 12 hours are minimal distraction and etc... like only feed the infant in her room and don't turn the lights on...

To answer your question 6pm is not too early.. perchance try giving her a bath as soon as you walk in the door.. after feed her. .and let her sleep.

Some nights administer her a sponge bath... other nights give her a apposite a bath.. at 3.5 months she doesn't need a bath every hours of darkness.. Source(s): Mommy to 14 month old triplets..
