What wouldn't you seize second mitt for your little one?
We still need a couple things like those walkers and a bouncer, and I suppose a play mat/gym. I was thinking we can get those things on Craigslist but my husband doesn't want to because he things that blood, poop, pee, and germs are on all those things and that we should loaf and get them all new. Would you seize those things used or new?
The only entry that I wouldn't get second hand for my baby is a motor seat. They aren't supposed to be used if the were in an catastrophe and have an expiration date. While the car seat have the expiration date on it, there is no telling if there be any damage caused to the car form. You will be able to see if there are any stains on it, germs can be wiped verbs with clorox wipes or sprayed with a disinfectant. I am currently looking into buying a soaring chair and walker off of Craigslist. You only just have to use common sense when buying used items.
I bought everything new for my son... and I really do regret it. I spent a lot of money on everything and sold it for less than 1/2 of what I remunerated. Most of the stuff was barely even used!
Anything that can be washed and sanitized would be fine. With bouncers, walker, and swings... a lot of times the fabric is washable. If that is the shield then it can be properly cleaned.
I wouldn't buy used...
car seats- don't know the history
mattresses- a newborn needs a spanking new firm mattress
If you can find it cheap and good used condition you will be thankful later for the stash. Especially if your baby doesn't like the item.
a motor seat and breast pump is the only things that I wouldn't buy second hand. Everything else I can sanitize next to bleach, or Fabreeze anti- microbial for fabrics etc.
I have a swing, a jogging stroller, and a exersaucer that be second hand.
Things like a playmat and a bouncer I wouldn't verbs about second hand... they are generally domestic device washable so it's easy enough to throw them in the bath before using them for baby. My son hasn't bled, pooped or peed on any of his baby equipment (other than shifting mat) and he's nearly 11 months old.
I wouldn't bother with a walker... they're overrated and in actual fact slow down development and can be quite dangerous. All we have was a bouncy chair (used about 5 times up to that time he hated it) and a door bouncer (used 3-4 times... now selling it). My son has be walking since 10 months so I guess he did well with good pass¨¦ floor time.
I'd buy most things second hand as long as they were in apt, clean condition. Car seat is the obvious no no.
Car form for sure. The only things that I would take that were second mitt were things from family members honestly. You a moment ago don't know otherwise who did what to the items! :)
Personally, nothing. I'm a huge germaphobe and no amount of sanitizing and wash would deem something clean enough for my LO.
Answers: I don't think there's a point in buying adjectives of that stuff brand new. clean it properly and it'll be fine -- they don't use them for that long. my 5 month old doesn't fit surrounded by his bouncer and will probably use his exersaucer for a total of 6 months. he likes his play mat but the thing was $60, too much money if you can find another one cheap (they're confidently washable too).
I'd get a new car form and that's it.
I would not. I would rather find relatively cheaper ones from Walmart.
A car form because you never know their history, and cloth diapers. I don't use them, but the thought of having someone's used diaper on my son seems icky.
A car seat. Everything else can be bleached:)
