Remedy for blocked feeler?

My son is 10 months old and his nose is blocked. Completly blocked so he has to breathe through his mouth. No fun when he loves to suck his thumb to sleep..
What can I do/use at home to back him get the darm thing unblocked?
I wipe his nose adjectives the time (which he hates - lol) and try to clear it that way but it remains bunged up. Has been this road for much of the week. I have not got, nor can I get anything from the chemist till subsequent week. I am looking for natural ways first up. Thanks
Answers:    try water with a pinch of saline in it since you cannot get nasal saline from the chemist until next week. you can use a dropper to put a few drops within his nose, then use a bulb syringe ( you know, that thing they used when he be first born) to suck all the gunk out. He sure as heck won't like it, but he will feel better.
Saline drops and you can still use the nasal aspirator as ably. Cool mist humidifier for naps and bedtime.
