My tot sucks on her fingers adjectives the time!! :)?

She will be 10 weeks old on Wednesday. And, its just soooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable when she sucks on her fingers!

She's actually partiality this more then her hospital binky right now.

My question is... is this gonna be a point shes gonna do till shes a lot older? Is this gonna be a sub for her binky now?

My fiance sucked on two of his fingers when he be little till he was like 3 or something.

Any experience with this? Im guessing closely of babies do this. IT IS JUST SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! I LOVE IT!
my son did that too :) it is very adorable. he never liked binkies, but he stopped doing the finger sucking before he be a year old.
cute!
No one can say if it will become a way for a long time, some children just grow out of it and some need to be taught not to do it. If she is predisposed to suck on her fingers instead of her dummy that is great and it will help her to sleep through the night when she is a bit elder if she is still doing it. It is very good for a baby to enjoy something that soothes them that THEY can control. It is also much better for her teeth for her to suck on her fingers rather than a dummy.
it's fine some babies will procure over sucking their fingers on their own very few continue to do so past age 3 or 4 when they start college. It will replace her binky but have it on hand just within case you need it.
My son have sucked his right index finger since he was one day old. He is immediately 9 months old and uses this as a form of comfort, and falls asleep this way.

His uncle, at 19, still sucks the same finger when he is stressed, and it is kinda adorable watching them both at it, as though they are father and son.

I surmise it is too cute, and cheap too, but harder to wean. =/ Source(s): Mummy of 9 month old

My daughter is 6 months old, and she still sucks her fingers. But everything that is surrounded by front of her goes straight to the mouth, and when she doesn't have any toys to suck on or chew, she uses her fingers for a substitute. She won't do it forever. And I also think it is the cutest item when she sucks on her fingers, she is now starting to flick her fingers out her mouth and make a pop sound, and it really amuses her.
Babies do that for lots of reason. They do it in substituting a binky, when they're tired, and especially when they're teething! It is really really cute but it will only become a habit as they achieve older if u let it happen. After 2 or 3 years ancient he should stop doing it on his own. If not than its going to be a real bad habit as he's growing elder.
Answers:    It is cute. My 3 month old does it and makes these really loud slurping noises when he does it LOL!

My son is a little over a month outmoded and one time so far I have seen him suck his thumb. It was really cute but he hasn't done it much lately he like his binky better lol.
I sucked my fingers until I was almost 5 and my mom sucked her thumb until she was 5 too. My kids are 4 years and 15 months and both suck their thumbs. It is so cute and I love it and it did replace the binky which be great because I no longer had to worry about the binky mortal lost and they were able to self soothe and put themselves to sleep. Congrats on your baby!
