How do you win a breastfeed babe to whip a bottle?
no matter what I have in it he spits it out . any thinking?
My daughter be that way. She was breastfed until 14 months, (not by my choice) but she would NOT take a bottle. No event what was in it. Just be persistent and rather have someone else feed him. If you feed him he is use to the breast but if someone else feed him he may be more open to the idea.
I have a quite a mission to get my son to take it, and it be really really tough, but now he takes the breast, b-milk in bottle, or formula within bottle from me or anyone else. I had to leave Dad to it for a couple of days, and jordy pulled a 48 hour hunger strike. I just stayed away from the house, and couldn't be alone near him as I knew I would break down and give him boob. Then, after 2 days when he finally drank from the bottle, I continued pumping and feeding from the bottle for another full morning. Then, I continued to breastfeed as usual and gave him one bottle per day of either expressed or formula milk. He be 7.5 months.
I had to do this as I was going a bit nuts and needed to get away for more than a couple of hours at a time. Now he is happier, I am am happier and everything is a short time ago rosy and fantastic!! Worth the trouble.
Hopefully your son is a bit less stubborn!
Note: We did have a doctor on call and made sure he be still wetting nappies and very alert during this 48 hour period.
if ur in uk - the NUK bottles are meant to be good..
I had one and the same problem...first you need to be out of the room and let someone else feed him. Also, dawdle until he is REALLY hungry and he might take it then. It took a while for my baby to nick to it. Just keep trying. also check the temperature, he might like it space heater or cooler. Good luck to you!

Good luck!
My son took to bottle/breast very well. The best bottle I used be Avent (then) now there are many option available that mimick the breast. I liked Avent so I stuck with it. I plan on trying it again with this little one. Source(s): *B*T*

my son took it immediatly, BUT he is a very very good "sucker" [breast and bottle, he have no nipple confusion]. you could try the Adiri bottles, they are supposed to mimmick the breast the most out of all bottles/nipples.
