What should I do roughly my sons imprudent?

My son woke up about 2 weeks ago with this rash. We go to the doctor the next day and she said it was a virus but wasn't sure what considerate of virus it was and not to put nothing on it. Then a couple days later it have gotten worse and me and my husband took him to the hospital and the doctor there said it was coxsacke virus which means summer virus. so my press is its been 2 weeks and it still hasn't gone away any other mothers dealt with this and have any solutions to the virus? He is 1 and it only effects children from birth to 3 years old and is not contagious. What can I do to get rid of it?
Answers:    My daughter have this too. She got a weird rash that come out of nowhere. But it went away on it's own. I say, get a second assessment from another pediatrician. You can never be too sure. She might also have an allergy to something.
