My tot is 6 mths and lately startin solids,i want to know which solids to present and the number to endow with day after day?
Ask your pediatrition, he/she knows your kid, not us.
When our son first started solids I just did rice cereal once a day for a while, consequently I slowly introduced different stage 1 fruits and veggies one at a time. You don't have to give too much at first because they're just getting use to it. If you own any questions call your doctor.
Good luck
Answers: Here is a list of good, gentle first foods:
oatmeal or rice cereal, bananas, avocado, pears, applesauce, peach, carrot, winter squash, green beans, peas, pumpkin, sweet potato.
Those are all very gentle and own a low chance of reaction. My personal favorite is pears, because it also helps beside constipation, but sweet potato is very popular among babies too!
You should usually start with about 1 Tbs of a food, but after they own tried it, you can give as much as they want as long as you nurse/give formula 0-60 minutes before. You don't want the solids to interfere with the milk/formula. Most babies will munch through maybe 2-3 oz after a few days of starting solids. You should aslo start with one meal a morning for a couple weeks while they get used to solids. After that, you can increase to 2 meals whenever you want. I did so after about a month of giving solids, since she be eating more foods then and it fit our schedule in good health.
