After cesarean: How long up to that time you could carry comfortable?
I had a cesarean on 7/16. This is my first cesarean, my 2 previous children were born vaginally. I feel pretty correct but I am wondering when you were able to get comfortable when lay in bed? How long did it take before the incision did not hurt when you tried to move?
I had an emergency c-section after 23 hours of hard work, so it took me a long time before I felt better. I think I be a couple of weeks before I was able to obtain in and out of my bed without a stool and pillows behind me. I didn't grain completely normal for 6-8 weeks. Although it didn't necessarily hurt for that long, I could always feel something pulling until afterwards.
Congrats on your new bundle of seventh heaven..I also just recently had a c-section near my newest edition on 7/10. I am still feeling a bit uncomfortable from the incision. This morning it feel like I felt like it be tearing open even though I know the scar is somewhat heal. My first son was also born by c-section and honestly that was 2 years ago and dont remember for sure but I think it took me something like 2 weeks to fully recover and heal.
I had my c-section on Jan 21st this year. Went home on the 24th which be a Saturday and was getting around comfortably by the following week. Had slight pains and discomforts for a couple of weeks after. I was pretty numb down there for a while though. Sometimes it still feel numb and sometimes I get this weird sensitive feeling but no dull pain.
Just wanted to say congratulations!! And I am so sorry about the long labor. Never have a section (or a child as of yet), but abdominal surgery patients, report 10-14 days post op, I would assume the same. Try changing the passageway you move. Going to be hard to explain without standing in front of you but...Your abdominal muscles own been cut, so can't use those. From laying down, roll onto side and push up with your arms to a sitting position. Push using adjectives of your leg muscles, try not to tighten your abdomen when doing so. Exhale on the push up from the bed.
SO happy you little man is finally here!!
I am 2.5 months out from mine and when I get up and down I still have soreness.
2/4 weeks for me. I'm a stomach sleeper so I was happy to be able to sleep on my stomach again around week 2...but getting in attendance hurt for awhile longer.
Answers: I have a c section on June 30, so 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Mine was also after 2 previous vaginal births. It's quite a different experience, isn't it?
I still discern sore sometimes around the incision site and I still have that weird numbness above it. I can get comfortable somewhat contained by bed now, but I do better with a pillow between my legs, it makes my belly scrunch smaller quantity. I'm still wearing maternity just because I need a waistband that go up above that cut, most pants seem to fall right in attendance. I still take pain medicine once within a while, especially if I had a somewhat active day and did profusely of walking. It still hurts on some steps (pretty much only ones with a higher than conventional rise).
But it is steadily getting better every day all the time. I'm finally competent to bend enough to put on my own socks (lol) and pick things up off the floor with minimal discomfort. Getting up solitary hurts once in a while now instead of every time.
Hope that helps. It get better quicker if you keep active but don't overdo it.
about 2 weeks.
