Planning to breast nurture and want a pump that will work but doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
One good idea is to rent a breast pump.
I got to rent one for FREE even though I don't qualify for WIC. Here are some places you can rent from:

I got an Evenflo double breast electric pump for $69.99 at Babies R Us & I love it. Been using it for over 1 month now & it still works great! It is a bit loud but I can deal next to it for $200 less than some of the other ones. I only use it 2 times a day so its not a big accord. Plus I got the 2 year Guarantee from Evenflow for $7.95 so if anything happens I can let them know & they transport me a box I mail it to them & they mail me a new one vertebrae! What I did was I bought a used Medela Pump from craigslist for $100.00 bucks and purely bought new breastsheilds and tubing online, It worked great for me I spent 70.00 dollars on a pump at target that hurt like hell and didint work for crap so I wasted money on my first pump but Medela works great it's worth the extra dosh.
I'm in the same boat. I answered a sound out last night that was similar to yours. A poster stated that your robustness insurance company may pay for the pump or at least a pump rental. I did some research on it & it appears to be true. Your insurance company may have different stipulations on what / if they cover one. It's worth looking into! Good luck! Good luck with that. You get what you pay for. I go threw 2 pumps before I finally got a good one that in actual fact worked good..I paid $85 for one and then $80 for another, and they both sucked. My guidance is too buy a good one that will last. I paid $160 for the final pump and I love it. Built to final that for sure and the suction is great. Below is a link to where i got mine. Trust me its in good health worth the money. And it comes with a bag to store in and freezer pack for storing milk, and some bottles. I'm a working mom and I pump here at work every day. This is a great pump. Source(s): http://www.amedababy.com/product/6-10075…
My wife and pretty much everyone we know uses a medela pump. No one have had any complaints. Our Birth class instructor recomends medela to everyone in her classes.
I got a Medela and it was great. It was an electric double breast pump. It worked enormously well.
Also check with your hospital, mine rented breast pumps and the lactation specialist there be able to give great information.
You can call the hospital you plan on going to and ask to speak next to the lactation specialist and she can recommend something too.
