Is it not detrimental for a dog to lick your kid?
well i have other been told that a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans but either way i would trade name him stay away just to be on the safe side.

I wouldn't worry too much. My nana's dog has licked our daughter and she in fact just giggles and loves it. I usually wipe her hands/face after but that's just out of need really. Dog's mouths are very clean!
I meditate it is. We have two dogs and a four month old little girl. She loves the dogs, and licking...as long as they didn't just come contained by from eating poo outside, I think it will be okay! Dogs are curious and protective, it is in their temper.

I am in florida and I used to hate the dogs licking the baby, very soon i dont mind as long as its not her face and hands. They are learning and cant assist it, they love their little baby too.
Dogs mouths are actually very clean - cleaner than a human's. I be surprised when our vet told us that because Jellybean (our dog) sure eats a lot of gross stuff.
If your baby is terribly young I think it's best to keep the dog away regardless of licking.

this is a dogs way of welcoming the baby,best item to do.a dog should always be brought up around small children as its brilliant for temperment.give it a few months she'll be sleeping in the dog bed next to him.

you don't want to push the dog outside..it makes the dog feel gone out..he is just curious.the dogs mouth is very clean you dont hold to let the baby smother the baby so tolerate him near but be right there
