Whats the LATEST a little one learn to sit un-aided?
My baby is 7 months she sits for short whiles
How long is too long?
I asked my Health Visitor when she was 6 months but she said it was fine.
She is also on the little side (weight wise) Does this play a element?

my son didnt sit on his own until he was 8 months, my guess is just about 10 months.. if ur HV isnt worried then u shouldnt be, every baby develops at different rates
My son didn't sit unassisted until he be 7 months old, and even then it was merely if we sat him that way. He couldn't pull himself to a sit until he be almost 8 months. He's 3 years old now and as healthy as could be, so I don't assume you have anything to worry about.
Answers: Actually, I've been wondering this. My son is 6 and a half months, and can only sit for a few second unaided... but he is also on the small side for weight. It seems similar to his head is just too heavy and cause him to topple, and he's very active so he doesn't like basically sitting still... but all the babies born shortly after him (within a few weeks) are all sitting unassisted... but they are much heavier than him. I think counterweight plays a big part in helping their balance... small babies enjoy a harder time as they don't have the weight and size behind them helping.
My Chloes almost 7 months and she does not sit AT ALL...she's a bit on th chunky side..so, I ruminate its normal. Ive heard up to 10 months.
my son did not sit on his own until give or take a few 8 months. I wasn't worried though, because he started crawling and pulling to a stand at 6 months, so I knew he had the muscle control, he just didn't see the point of sitting still when he could GO GO GO!!
