Home decorate ask, Moms...?
I'm asking here because I know you people.
Plus, every time I ask a question in Home Decor or anything I get like 2 answers...
Okay, so I was going through some of my stuff at my mom's. I found a sculpture that they had brought back for me from Hawaii when I was approaching 8.

But it says my name.
Would it be unusual to put it up in my house? I figured I would put it in my kitchen-I thought the colors would jump well with my Fiesta Ware. My mom told me it was unnatural because it's just MY name, but that would mean I wouldn't ever be capable of put it up! It's so pretty and means so much to me...:(
What do you think? Would it be odd?
My husband say he wouldn't mind because the kitchen is mostly "my turf anyway". Heh.

I think it would be fine. You could always find other ways to incorporate other family member's name in as well. Maybe next time you purloin a trip or find a unique wall hanging with a nickname you could hang it with this one or in a different place within the house. The important thing is that it means something to you - it shouldn't issue if it's only your name.
Answers: haha I had something like that made for me! It was of my designation and I sold it at a yard sale right before we moved. I didn't deduce my fiance would like me decorating our house with it lol Plus it didnt game anything.
