How do I carry my 5 month out-of-date to sleep?
My 5 month old has a spitting up problem so I dont want to put him to sleep with a bottle, but even near a bottle my poor baby doesn't sleep very well sunshine or night. If someone has a solution please feel free to share.
I was a screamer when I was babe-in-arms.
Mom could never set me down.
I've babysat a lot though, and I often just sing a lullaby while rocking the infant for awhile, and I just hope she'll doze off.
Sometimes just putting them within the crib and leaving soft music on can help, too.
When I was baby-sitting a 8 month girl, she purely wouldn't sleep and when I took her for walks she fell (almost every time) asleep. So then when ever she wouldn't fall asleep I only put her in the stroller and either walk her or purely put her by a window/patio door where you can see her to check up when you walk past. It may not work but it may work. Every little one is different so be patient. And, my little baby cousin (9 months) he doesn't even go to sleep beside a bottle so you can rock him to sleep also.
Answers: I reported three of those answers. Idiots
You can try and tilt his mattress at an angle so the formula stays down as capably. Talk to your MD about reflux.
I used the swing alot for my daughter, and sometimes the swing with a pacifier.
Our MD gave my daughter infant zantac and then we put rice cereal in her night time bottles, I know everyone think that is so bad, she is 10 months and we still do that same bottle at night.. Too doomed to failure people dont like it, you just enjoy to be careful
We put in one teaspoon per two ounces of formula and use a special nipple on the bottle, we use advent so we use the #3 nipple for thicker formulas available at target and babies r us.
She did great after that. Granted her MD told us to try these. Up to you if you do.
Bedtime ritual. Babies sleep the best in their own bed after their bath, story, rocking, same music, ect, and at the same time respectively night. I know you can't always do that, but he'll sleep better when you do.
Also, white noise help. A fan, radio static, something continuous and low. Get him used to 'bedtime music.' The same music every night so that sounds like 'sleepy' to him. Even duplicate book.
With my little brother he wouldnt fall asleep with a bottle or by being rocked to sleep so the solution we found be to put on his favourite movie which at the time was The Incredibles. About 15 minutes into the movie he would fall asleep and later we would wait about 10 more minutes to make sure he be sound asleep before putting him to bed. This might not work with your child but it worked beside my little brother.
Recreate the discern he had while in your womb.
Leave a very comfortable (soft) blanket on him - so as to re-instill the soothing have a feeling there.
Try playing music or any sounds that you had around you during your labor. Most classical music has such a soothing tempo. Source(s): GOOD LUCK. This, too within time will pass.
A spitting problem, like all the time, usually means your child might have a reflux problem. acid reflux really burns and hurts, which you prob know if you had heartburn while you be pregnant. Reflux attaks day and night. You should consult your pediatrician. There are things he/she can prescribe to help. It might not be sharp reflux, b/c my youngest son was lactose intolerant. So ask your ped. and tilt the end of his bed up, or lean him up while he is sleeping to see if that helps any. Source(s): mom of 3, soon to be 4
Have you tried rocking him to sleep? Maybe that'll help.or singing some lullabies or putting on some soothing CDs...they generate CDs just for baby that are for the purpose of making them go to sleep.
