Do you mow the meadow? Do you have a sneaking suspicion that it's a man's commission?
I bought a steel push reel mower. I bought it because it is better for the environment, (no gas, no oil, no emissions). I also bought it because it seems easier to use ( I am a woman).
I realize that next to a push reel mower, I will probably have to mow every 2 weeks. But my husband told me that I won't be able to mow the prairie because it is too hard and it is a man's job. Is this true? How hard is it to mow a grass? Can a woman do it? I am really angry at him right now, and feel a but disillusioned.
Sounds like Mr. Man is have his masculinity threatened in his own mind. No I don't mow, but that's because I like contained by a condo. I did mow when I was a teenager, I lost a watch my parents bought me, so my dad made me mow the sward for the summer to pay him back for a new one. It's devout exercise. After I moved out, my dad mowed the lawn most of the time, but when he became ill, my mother took over, and she still does it at the age of 80. Do it if you want to. It's not too tough for a woman. If I ever get a house of my own, I probably won't do it, I will probable hire someone, but that's only because I am too lazy and despise the heat.
i used to mow the lawn as a kid its not hard. i was mowing at 12 on the tractor and using a push mower probably formerly that. i dont mow now no just because we are renting and they do it and my husband mows his moms yard and he like mowing because it gives him something to do. but its not hard and alot of woman do it
i reason it is a mans job but i do it for the exersize and the tan.its not tough just stay hydrated...
I mow the lawn all the time. I don't consider it a man's job, and I don't deduce why people think it is. It's not difficult at all and I've found it to be a great source of exercise.
So don't agree to your husband tell you that it's a man's job. It's a simple, simple thing.
Lol, I've never actually mowed the lawn, my partener other does it...I would accept your parteners off though, even if you are capable, it's one smaller quantity chore for you :-)
It used to be my errand when I lived at home with my parents. So no, it is not a man's job. I would just draw from up and go do it if I were you, what can your husband do...pick you up and carry you fund inside? Just do it.
if he wants to mow the lawn let him, I wouldnt be complaining almost it. Of course a woman can do it, I wouldnt want to with a reel mower though,
I would say if you want to do it do it. I similar to mowing the lawn cause it is quiet and get me out of the house. But so does my husband. If you want to do it do it.
A man's job?! I also used to mow the grassland as a kid (as one of my chores). So if a 14 year old girl can do it, certainly a grown woman can! I actually really savour mowing the lawn. When else can you take an hour to just zone out and listen to music? Sadly this mommy can't do that lately and doesn't mow since she's within an apt, but I look forward to doing it again.
I don't mow the lawn, and I transmit my husband it's a man's job, but that's bc I don't want to. :-)
I've mowed the lawn before plenty of times, but I found out that I'm allergic to grass. So I either enjoy hubby do it when he's not deployed or higher a gardner to do it when he is deployed. Makes my life much easier.
I don't know if it is a "man's job," but it is "MY man's job." Momma can't do it all!
Answers: I've actually never mowed a prairie until this summer. I used a push reel mower and it was incredibly easy. We own a gas powered one, but I wasn't about to go near that article.
Lol...hell, if it is a "man's" job according to him, then let him do it! While your at it, enlighten him the dishes, laundry, scrubbing the bathtub, etc. are all men's job too.worth a shot, huh?
