13 days outmoded little one, come up with he's constipated, help out?
My baby usually has 2 or more dirty nappies in a time but for the past couple of days he's either not had a dirty nappy or it's lately a tiny little bit of poo which isn't normal for him, he's been a bit restless for the past few days too, crying and trying to squeeze but nil comes of it, it's heartbreaking when i can't do nothing for him but i think it's constipation.
Is there anything i can do for him to give support to him pass a bowel movement? I've read about giving him cooled boiled water, how much? Is this not detrimental? I can't contact my health visitor as it's Saturday.
He's formula fed on SMA gold ingots, he's taking about 4-5oz's every 3-4hours. He has tons of urinated nappies, just from time to time any soiled ones. He's passing gas both ways fine too, so he's not gassy.
Give him an ounce of apple juice. But if that doesn't work, give him a glycerine suppository ("pop in a jelly if he can't do a smelly"!)
hello within yes i know how you feel sometimes its the milk i think sma has pretty a bit of iron in it could be that i had one baby within particular who got constipated i found half a teaspoon of brown sugar surrounded by boiled water then cooled enough for newborn to drink! also maybe change the milk or ask your baby clinic for warning. i hope this helps!
Answers: cooled boiled water is perfectly secure.
i used to make about 4oz up of cooled boiled water and donate him 1oz a little while after his bottle (about an hour) then 30 mintues later grant him another 1oz.
it seemed to do the trick of him but every baby is different.
also rubbing his tummy firmly in a clockwise direction is also intended to help (baby massage works wonders for the bowels!) Source(s): been within, done that!
39 weeks pregnant with #2 and i have a 22 month old son!
When my son got approaching this, my dr said to give him a very small amount of juice to help out 'open' him up (about a nipple full 1 to 2 times a day). This helped my son, and may help yours too. I would still talk to my dr to see what s/he recommend. Good luck!
Your baby’s stools will go through many change over the first few months, especially once you start to introduce solids! But the most obvious changes will be in the first few weeks of their enthusiasm.
If your baby is bottlefed their stools will be bulkier than if they were breastfed and will smell a little similar to adult ones. The colour will be pale yellow or amber and they should pass a stool at least once a day to avoid becoming constipated.
Diarrhoea, constipation or blood-streaked poo are not majority for your baby to have continuously but if they occur in recent times once, they might be symptoms of something quite simple. If you’re worried, it’s always a good notion to check with a healthcare professional.

There are several things you can do for your constipated baby:
Give your child extra drinks of cooled, boiled water.
Make sure that bottles are being made correctly - too much baby milk powder will breed the feed too concentrated.
Gently massage your baby's tummy in a clockwise direction. Some newborn oil on your hands may help. Only verbs if your baby seems relaxed and comfortable.
Give your baby a heat bath and when drying them, apply some cream or petroleum jelly around their bottom to soothe and prevent soreness.
Move your baby’s legs in a cycling motion.
If you have any worries around your baby's health, it's always best to talk to your midwife or form visitor. Source(s): cow & gate

Give him an ounce of apple liquid, if that doesnt work give him another ounce.
it's super normal for a baby to be 3 days lacking doing #2. However, a lot of fomular fed babies have a difficult time dealing next to this issue.
If your kiddo doesn't poo in the 4th day, then you should phone call your doctor and also change the baby formula.
hope this ends.
