How much does childbirth hurt?

What was your experience?
Take the medication! then it won't be soo discouraging!
I be induced with pitocin with both pregnancies. (no epidural either time) The labors be really tough, but doable...it was the pushing that was so hard for me. I pushed for 2 1/2 hours next to my daughter...and thought I was gonna die. I was so tired that I couldn't even enjoy my daughter at first. With my son I pushed for 45 minutes...not too bleak, but he was huge and tearing the birth canal as he come down...he also ripped me good when he came out, but he was born a whopping 10lbs 5oz. I really doubt you enjoy to worry about that.

All together, I feel close to my deliveries went relatively well. I be able to do both without painkillers, and they did eventually come out...and I healed up other. And it is funny how I forgot about the pain very soon after they be born.
I have never tried a water birth, but I did own an epidural with my son. Once I got the epidural my pain, on a degree of 1 to 10 was maybe a 2 the entire time.
i gave birth 3 months ago and it was horrible. if i wasn't induced than it might have not be bad but the pitocin is horrible it makes your contractions stronger and closer. i wish i would hold never been induced. and the epidural didn't even work for me. so it hurt so bad words can't explain how much was the discomfort. the contractions were so horrible i didn't even have a chance to breath between every contraction. and at the pause of the day i had to get a c-section because the pitocin didn't even grasp me to dilate
Answers:    I have done it four times and all inherent.
Yes it hurts but something you cant explain as what hurts one doesnt another.
But there is pain relief available.
basically keep open minded and take respectively contraction as it comes.
and if it gets to much and you want pain relief dont be ashamed to speak.
And when you have the baby in your arms the affliction becomes a distant merory.
and remeber if it was that bad women would simply eever have one baby... lol. hope it helps
Well,it's painful but you are in a different frame of mind during work ,at least I was,so you get through it.It's easier said than done to explain but for me it was all a blur and looking back doesn't even seem to be real! Both times I would say was a positive experience the anguish was just a part of it but the completion result was all I could think of.
my first wasn't to bad but my second was hell as i had an infection so it newly burned. but all honesty u do forget almost immediately and im currently ttc #3.
I Like Drugs.. When It comes to child birth.

Epidural was my friend.

I'm merely 16 but I know enough that I needed it. I couldn't feel a thing for a while. I couldn't even roll over short help. The only thing that really hurt me be the contractions. After I had the epidural I was fine but then It started to wear rotten and i could feel the contractions. The pushing was okay but i could kind of perceive it.I kind of wish I got nubane because my sister get that and it had her knocked out.
It hurts, but not as much as you suppose.

You know how a movie is always scarier before you see the monster/alien, and then when you see what it looks resembling you begin thinking "what a lame movie this is...not so scary, just wierd alien creatures"? Same item. The evil you don't know scarier than the evil you do.
my first be hell ! 18,5 hrs . It was to the point I was just numb next to pain , if that makes since I was going within for a Emer, C sections when I had to push one more time
with adjectives and forceps and god we made it I couldn't pee fo rover a day due to swelling . My last 2 months ago
wow!
4 hrs hard labor 2 hrs of that at home
2:30 surrounded by the hospital. 5 minutes of pushing
it was AWESOME!! i had 2 little striches
try the water ! it can oblige relax you . you can relax it helps with pain
I feel so good after ward I got dressed after i shower
ALL NATURAL!! NO EPIDURAL :)
i didn't take any drugs just panadol. it did hurt a hole lot. i was contained by labour for 5 days it was a preterm birth at 27weeks and my son had a prolapsed cord so beside out any contractions or pain relief i was given a 4th amount episiomtomy and forceps were used to pull him out. actually sorry i story i used gas and air when they were using the forceps. the good entity about not taking any drugs is you can get up off the labor table when your done and your walking around ordinary in a half hour. but saying adjectives that if i had to do it again i would prefer to be asleep!LOL!!
It didnt tickle. Just take the epidural. I swore I wouldn't until I had a four daytime, slow labour and I was just so darn tired of it adjectives. My hubby said it was just so unreal watching my tummy contract - but I couldnt feel a point after I had the epidural!

The good thing around child birth is you actually forget what the pain was resembling which is why people like me go on to want more babies. Good luck Source(s): me me and me
well let see i started getting contractions at about Midnight the day my son was born but did not stir to the hospital til 7:00 that morning i got cramping that was less severe than any term cramps i had ever had than at about 3cm i get an epidural and i didn't feel too much after that accept some pressure during pushing the baby out and that be it good luck
I've delivered 3 boys (soon to be a 4th) without the use of drugs. I'm going to be honest, it is the most inexplicable pain you can ever visualize. But...worth every second of pain.
I have an epidural and didn't feel one thing. We were laughing and playing around the entire time even while pushing lol. It only took 30 mins with 10 pushes and she came right out. The singular thing I didn't like was how sore I be for a couple weeks after that.

I also got it before any contractions or anything, I was induced for hypertension so I get the epidural at the same time they gave me the petocin.
i was knock out (well kinda), emergency c-section, but when they started pulling her out of me, I SCREAMED! it hurt so bad, so they gave me more sleepy medicine and i be gone lol.

everyone is different tho
I thought I wanted a drug free confinement where I'd cope through contractions in a pool, on a ball, and moving around. After 20 hrs of "natural" labor, I have contractions one one top of the other that were so painful that I could only slouch immobile in bed screaming. I never thought I had a low pain tolerance (thought I never thought I be SuperChick either), but I really wonder how other women do it naturally. Sure, we all had to for most of history, but when you're within severe pain, the option for drugs is nice.

My epidural was wonderful. I feel absolutely no pain after it. Pushing didn't hurt at all.
it hurts but eventually you will forget all around the pain, thats why ppl have more =] lol all i have with 3 of my pregnancies was stadol..and nothing at adjectives with my last..
I was in labor for 37 hours, i went through 1.5 epidurals, when the it wore past its sell-by date is when we decided to push, and i pushed for 1.5 hours, It was painful... and tiring, I be exhausted, The feeling is like no other and hard to describe, I have an episiotomy, (however you spell that as well), The other pain was so bad, I didnt even consistency that. But... Once it is done and you see the baby, its like you forget, its all over. So I know it hurt, but i didnt attention to detail and would do it a million times over for her.
